From November 23rd through December 1st, Won Poker Cup will be back in action featuring a guaranteed US$ 1,000,000 prize pool across its nine-day lineup. While more event details are yet to be known, the esteemed tour mentioned new events such as the W High Roller, and a Mystery Bounty tournament, to couple its latest schedule. In addition, a WPC Grinder Expo will kick off three days before the series begins, giving runners an early feel of the gaming atmosphere all around.

Last July 24 – 29, the Won Poker Cup made its debut and hoisted an ambitious US$ 500,000 guarantee over its US$ 1,100 buy-in Main Event games. Although the festivities were welcomed with excitement having drawn a total of 404 entries, the numbers fell a tad bit short of meeting the half a million listed pot, which resulted in a US$ 96,000 overlay. Several international runners were in attendance and battled across three days of play before the final round was reached. Malaysia’s Ke Hong Jing emerged victorious over the field following a long grind, and captured his maiden live poker title as well as US$ 97,100 in winnings, and the prestigious Won Poker Cup Golden Eagle hardware.

Despite the minor setback, the tour wrapped up a successful series with over US$ 600,000 in prizes and ten Golden Eagle trophies awarded across its opening games. This upcoming season promises bigger prize pools and a more comprehensive schedule, yet to be unveiled.
