The first race is an open Handicap, with several candidates aiming to break their duck.
Penny Be looks to be heading in the right direction after finishing third when sent off favourite at Salisbury last Sunday but preference is for RECKON I’M HOT.
Another looking to get up for the first time, connections will be encouraged by seeing him back up a third on the all-weather at Lingfield with a second place at Bath.
He was just a head away from breaking his maiden in Somerset and that near miss in May will have made Gary Moore increasingly determined to see his charge score.
Rider Rob Hornby is showing some decent form and the pair could get their reward at Windsor.
19:10 – Alpina Express @ 8/13
Classy wins at Ayr and Carlisle put ALPINA EXPRESS on course for a hat-trick and the 6lb penalty incurred for that success in Cumbria may not be enough to stop her on Monday.
The three-year-old moves up slightly in trip, going half a furlong or so further, but that should not prove too inconvenient.
Jockey Joe Fanning continues for trainer Charlie Johnston and is likely to look to control the race and trust the class of the filly again entrusted to him.
Hurtle could be an opponent to watch after finishing third on a C&D return in May after 230 days away, while Greased Lightning was runner-up here over the same trip on May 1.
However, Alpina Express is quickly becoming a star and can continue her progress here in this Handicap.
20:10 – Carry On Aitch @ 9/2
Finally to the penultimate race, a Handicap that falls nicely for CARRY ON AITCH, who returns as a C&D winner after triumphing here last week.
That was her first win and with Adam Farragher back in the plate, the winning combination continues.
A 6lb penalty should not be enough to dissuade Carry On Aitch but she could come under pressure from the consistent Mucky Mulconry, who comes in with form figures of 63312 in five outings since switching to Michael Wigham’s yard.
Wigham’s booking of Tom Marquand is interesting but may not be enough to see the gelding claim a second career win ahead of this improving rival.
