Wimbledon Betting Tips: Brits the focus on Day Four

Day four of Wimbledon sees Brits such as Liam Broady, Lloyd Glasspool and Jamie Murray all in action at SW19.

Broady takes on Casper Ruud in the second round of the men’s singles, while Murray is playing doubles against David Vega Hernandez and Albano Olivetti. Lloyd Glasspool is also in doubles action against Andrey Golubev and Maxime Cressy.

Wimbledon Betting Tips

  • Casper Ruud vs Liam Broady – Ruud to win 3-1 @ 5/2
  • Lloyd Glasspool/Nicolas Mahut to beat Andrey Golubev/Maxime Cressy @ 1/3
  • Jamie Murray/Michael Venus to beat David Vega Hernandez and Albano Olivetti @ 1/6

Casper Ruud vs Liam Broady – Ruud to win 3-1 @ 5/2

Casper Ruud made the French Open final last month but his game hasn’t transitioned in the same way to the grass of SW19.

His best finish at Wimbledon is the second round, but I think he has the chance here to advance to the third round for the first time in his career.

Liam Broady will have the home crowd on his side, but I believe Ruud will have enough quality to see off the challenge of the Brit.

Laurent Lokoli managed to take a set off the Norwegian in the first round, so I believe Broady will here too.

Lloyd Glasspool/Nicolas Mahut to beat Andrey Golubev/Maxime Cressy @ 1/3

Glasspool made the third round last year at SW19 with Harri Heliovaara, however, the 34-year-old stated he will miss this edition of the tournament due to paternity leave.

Glasspool and Heliovaara claimed the Challenger title in Bordeaux in May, and the Brit paired up with Dan Evans at Queen’s to reach the quarter-finals.

Glasspool and Mahut made the Eastbourne International round of 16, and with Mahut’s experience – particularly in doubles (former world no.1) – I’m expecting them to start their Wimbledon journey with a victory here.

Jamie Murray/Michael Venus to beat David Vega Hernandez and Albano Olivetti @ 1/6

Jamie Murray will be hoping to join his brother Andy in the second round of Wimbledon, although the former specialises in the doubles format.

He partners Michael Venus here, and the pair made the final of the Eastbourne international last month, although they lost in straight sets to Mate Pavic and Nikola Mektic.

Murray made the men’s doubles final at SW19 back in 2015, as well as winning the mixed doubles title in 2007 and 2017. Venus also has experience some success at Wimbledon, losing in the 2018 men’s double final against Mike Bryan and Jack Sock.

I can’t see Murray and Venus having any issues advancing to the next round here.
