Monster Hunter Wilds was officially revealed at The Game Awards 2023, massive news for fans of the creature-filled RPG. Here’s what we have learned about the game so far.
Monster Hunter Wilds release date
Right now, all we know is that Monster Hunter Wilds is coming out in 2025. No specific date —not even the time of year — has been shared so far.
Monster Hunter Wilds platforms
Monster Hunter Wilds will be available on PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S when it finally comes out. The Nintendo Switch was not mentioned, despite Monster Hunter Rise being released solely for the Nintendo console when it came out.
Monster Hunter Wilds gameplay
The official reveal trailer that dropped at the end of The Game Awards is all we have from Capcom so far. In the video, we can see expansive areas filled with a large amount of wildlife, including massive creatures.
A big portion of the trailer is dedicated to seeing someone riding atop a bird-like creature with feathers and four legs. You can also glide around on the bird, making it even easier to travel around the large map this time around.
The trailer showed detailed worlds with changing weather conditions. The focus on these vast weather changes has fans wondering if the conditions around you will impact how you catch a monster or what creatures will even be out.
Sadly that’s really all we know. Even more upsetting, Capcom said that no more information is coming about Monster Hunter Wilds until the summer of 2024.
