There are seven races to look forward to from West Yorkshire on Tuesday evening, with an intriguing meeting to take in from Wetherby.
It’s set to be another sweltering summer evening on the cards and here are three hot pics for the night’s action, starting with our first selection in the 19:20.
Wetherby Betting Tips:
Date: Tuesday 13th June
Time: First race at 17:40
Location: Wetherby, West Yorkshire
19:20 – War Chant @ EVS
Our first pick comes in the racingtv.com/freetrial Handicap at 19.20, with WAR CHANT catching the eye ahead of the off.
Trained by Rae Guest and with Connor Beasley in the saddle, the three-year-old impressed last time out with victory at Nottingham.
With the going of Good to Firm, War Chant came out on top with James Doyle on board in a field of nine runners.
The ground is expected to be similar at Wetherby on Tuesday and War Chant has the ability to back up his win at Nottingham by beating the likes of Mr Jetman and Fools Gambit in this one.
19:55 – Beltane @ 5/2
Enjoying a positive 2023 so far, BELTANE is our second selection as the four-year-old goes in the Best Dressed Handicap at 19.55.
Starting the year with a win for previous trainer Keith Dalgleish at Musselburgh in April, Beltane finished third of 12 for Michael Appleby’s yard last time out at Beverley.
Jockey Oisin Orr gets the opportunity in the saddle this time around and the Good to Firm, Firm in places conditions should suit his bid to claim a second win of the season.
21:00 – Nightout @ 11/4
Showing signs of improvement in his last race, NIGHTOUT gets the nod as our third and final selection in the Thank You & See You Next Season Handicap.
After starting the year with a disappointing display at Ripon, Nightout gave a much better account of himself last time out with a third-place finish at Thirsk.
That last outing was on May 11th and the month off should mean Nightout is fresh and ready to go, as he takes on the likes of Shot Of Love and Nibras Rainbow.
Looking at the card, this might well be a fairly open contest and Nightout’s improvement last time out means there is hope he can land a maiden win for North Yorkshire trainer Tim Easterby.
Sean Kirrane is the jockey charged with guiding Nightout to victory on what is set to be a great evening’s entertainment in balmy Wetherby.
