The Carabao Cup continues tonight with four all-Premier League ties among the line-up.
Newcastle v Man City is the pick of the bunch, live on Sky Sports. The Magpies’ stunning 8-0 win over Sheffield United stole all the headlines at the weekend but Eddie Howe is set to ring the changes after a tough week which included their return to the Champions League.
Pep Guardiola has also admitted he will look to rotate his side on Tyneside in a bid to keep his players fresh so its the usual cup minefield for punters. Even the bookies can barely decide, pricing up Newcastle at 9/5 and City a touch shorter at 7/5.
Rotation is the key word across the board with almost all Premier League managers confirming they’ll rotate their starting XIs.
Whatever side David Moyes puts out should be good enough to get a win at Lincoln City who are winless in four and 13th in League One.
West Ham lost out on penalties (9-10) to Blackburn at this stage of the competition but Moyes went with a relatively strong line-up despite also having a European campaign to contend with.
The Hammers squad can avoid a humiliating exit tonight at Sincil Bank.
Double them up with goals at Anfield where Liverpool welcome in-form Leicester City.
The Foxes lead the way at the top of the Championship and Enzo Maresca will be keen to prove that his side can still mix it with the big boys.
Jurgen Klopp has been known to utilise his squad in this competition which could make the Reds vulnerable at 4/9 so go for goals where Over 2.5 Goals pays 19/40.
The Scottish League Cup is taken much more seriously north of the border. With Celtic out of the competition there’s a real chance for the other clubs to get to a final and possibly win it.
Hearts are already in the set-final draw after beating Kilmarnock last night.
At Easter Road rivals Hibs are aiming to join them but they’re up against one of the form teams in the country, St Mirren.
The Buddies won again at the weekend to remain second in the table, just two points off Celtic. Meanwhile Hibernian are adjusting well to life after Lee Johnson.
The Hibees have picked up seven points from the last nine available and have scored two in each of their last three.
The visitors won a five-goal thriller when the sides met on the opening day of the league campaign and there could be goals again tonight. Over 2.5 pays 20/21 at SBK.
Rangers v Livingston is tournament sponsor Viaplay’s live match from Ibrox.
Livi were well beaten by 10-man Celtic at the weekend and have already lost 4-0 away to Rangers this season. They’ve a pretty dire record in Govan and if Michael Beale goes with a strong line-up that looks set to continue.
Beale cannot afford any slip-ups as the dissenting voices grow among the Ibrox support. The side were booed on the final whistle despite the fact they beat Motherwell 1-0 at the weekend.
Livi have scored just twice in their last nine away games against the Gers but there’s no value to found even in the win to nil markets at 8/15.
James Tavernier is still top scorer for the hosts and he’s 13/8 to net (possibly from the spot or a set-piece) and 6/1 to open the scoring.
