It was a bustling Day 5 at WPT Cambodia – Passport To The World Championship with more new faces in the crowd pulling up seats. The flavor of the day was the 8 Max Survivor Bounty featuring a USD 150,000 guarantee and a bounty reward of USD 1,500 for every player knocked out.
The final two entry days were on deck, adding a combined 317 runners for a total of 439 entries. The largest groups hailed from Vietnam and Korea, with a notable increase in Indian, Australian, and Thai players making their inaugural poker trip to this location.
In partnership with Connaissance Management Limited, the ongoing festival kicked off at NagaWorld Phnom Penh on July 12 and runs until July 23. Out of the 41 trophies on the mantle 15 have already been awarded. The next one will be at the 8 Max Championship with 56 players returning for the final day on Wednesday, July 17. Aside from the goal of knocking out as many heads as possible, the top prize is USD 35,833 plus a seat to the WPT World Prime Championship at The Wynn Las Vegas this December.

Van Xuan Nguyen Tops Day 1B
The largest turnout was at Day 1B with a solid 200 entries heating up the felt. The bounty round was reached at 40 players and the money bubble burst when Vietnamese ace Hoang Hai Nam eliminated Yunsheng Sun with set over pair. Vietnam players bagged up the three largest stacks of the heat with Hoang ranked third, topped by Manh Cuong Le, and up top was Van Xuan Nguyen.
Xinglong Huang Tops Day 1C
The final flight was a turbo with the blinds increasing at half the time (every 20 minutes). 117 turned up, among them was Australia’s Travis Endersby who reached the final table of the 2024 WPT Prime Gold Coast Championship.
This time would be different though. After the bounty round was reached at 23 players, the money bubble burst on Endersby who was knocked out by fellow Australian Jayden Zalac with full house over trips on a board .
Bagging up the largest was China’s Xinglong Huang to place him third rank in the Day 2 lineup.
