16.40 – Gents Day On Sunday 8th October Novices’ Hurdle – 1m7f
Rated 103 on the Flat, who was second in a Listed event back in July, AADDEEY is undoubtedly the most exciting runner on the card and has an excellent chance to make a successful hurdles debut. He will get 12Ib from Liverpool Knight and will be very hard to stop if his jumping can pass the test. His Flat ability alone should be too much for these.
Tips: AADDEEY
17.15 – Annual Membership At Uttoxeter Racecourse Handicap Chase – 3m
A PLACE APART ran really well behind a much higher-rated horse when second at Perth and has leading claims with a repeat performance. I will also recommend including the veteran LOUGH SALT and DUKE OF LUCKLEY who gave odds-on favourite Swapped a bit of a fright at Southwell last time when second. He must have a solid chance if he can replicate that here.
Tips: A PLACE APART, LOUGH SALT, DUKE OF LUCKLEY
17.50 – Winter Ladies Day Friday 20th October Handicap Chase – 1m7f
GETAWAY LUV has benefitted from the headgear combination of late, which has resulted in a stylish win early last month before backing that up with a good second at Bangor earlier this month. He is a leading player, while impressive chase debut winner FRINGILL DIKE could be hard to beat given how well he impressed in the jumping department.
Tips: GETAWAY LUV, FRINGILL DIKE
18.20 – Staffordshire Beer Festival Saturday 18th November Handicap Hurdle – 2m3f
ASHINGTON has been running well again in this sphere this year and is only 1Ib higher than when he scored in a better race last March at Sedgefield. He should be competitive despite his big weight. CHAOS CONTROL had a subsequent winner in behind when third at Aintree last-time-out and should be suited to the step up in distance.
Tips: ASHINGTON, CHAOS CONTROL
18.50 – Free Tips Daily On attheraces.com Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f
It is hard to knock the consistency of ENTHUSED this year, who has gone close in his last three starts, and remains on the same mark as when second last time in a much stronger event. He goes on the shortlist. ROCK ON HARRY returned a commanding winner at Market Rasen last-time-out and must be feared.
Tips: ENTHUSED, ROCK ON HARRY
19.20 – Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap Hurdle – 2m3f
LET IT SHINE took a major step forward from his reappearance to take third at Worcester and should have plenty more to come over this longer distance. SKEETER PARK wasn’t beaten far on handicap debut last time when fourth and would have been closer without a mistake at the last hurdle. He should be thereabouts.
Tips: LET IT SHINE, SKEETER PARK
