Among the culprits slapped with far-reaching sanctions by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) is controversial businessman Kamlesh Pattni, who has been running a vast gold-smuggling and money-laundering network in Zimbabwe, and deftly coordinating its activities across multiple countries.
