Tuesday’s Lucky 15 Tips: Another day, another Dollar

Tuesday’s racing includes a meeting at Beverley, in the East Riding of Yorkshire. It’s a particular favourite of mine and provides a perfect platform for our Lucky 15 Tips on Tuesday July 16. The action kicks in at 14:30.

The summer is hurtling along far too quickly but luckily it provides so many fabulous sporting attractions. If you’re playing take care, have fun, and above all enjoy.

Horse Racing Odds

14:30 – Timescape @ 9/4

A nice-looking two-year-old novice fillies’ stakes contest, and a unraced selection in the form of Karl Burke’s Timescape.

The daughter of Havana Grey runs under the Clipper Logistics banner and has an entry in the G2 Lowther at next month’s Ebor meeting at York.

She might not have to be special to take this but I hope she is! I understand soft ground is a possibility, and her sire handled it expertly.

15:30 – Regency Boy @ 11/2

Trainer Steph Hollinshead makes many a shrewd foray in my experience and sends her four-year-old Sea The Moon gelding Regency Boy for this 10f Class 6 handicap.

A similar race here almost fell into his lap nearly a month ago but he was just held, by a neck. He’s up 2lb for that but the track familiarity is a blessing and this doesn’t look a deep contest. Dougie Costello rides.

16:00 – Dollarindex @ 6/1

Andrew Breslin is on top, for trainer Bryan Smart.

Dollarindex is a three-year-old filly by old Ballydoyle sprinter Washington DC, and after 10 starts still seeks that elusive first success. Fine effort here though last time out three weeks ago, beaten just a length, running on.

These are modest animals and it’s useful at the very least that she’s in good heart at present, and at this basement level is running pretty much as well as she ever has.

17:00 – Park Street @ 10/3

The last element of our Lucky 15 is a five-year-old New Approach gelding who has run very well here many times in the past, including for two victories. The Yorkshire air seems to suit this ex-Gosden inmate, trained in Cleveland since August 2022 by Tina Jackson.

He was thwarted by just a length three weeks ago and Phil Dennis, on board last time, retains the mount. It’s another little contest where being in good order is a big advantage, and the two box is a very handy draw.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!

The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today’s selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £670 for your total £7.50 stake.
