Trainer Mike De Paulo is now nine wins away from 1,000 for his career. The multiple graded stakes winning conditioner earned win No. 991 in Saturday’s second race when Mrs. C., in rein to leading rider Sahin Civaci, posted a two-length score in the seven-furlong dash over the main track.
As easy as 1, 2, 3
Pietro Moran won three straight races on Saturday. The graded stakes winning rider took the seventh with Never Silent, the eighth with Bail Us Out, and the ninth, the $100,000 Niagara Stakes Presented by The Greenwood Stakes, with Lac Macaza, trained by Julia Carey. Moran also won the third race on Sunday, when he teamed with My Boy Bruce to record a one-length score in the 5 ½-furlong main track race.
The secret is out
Master Spy, ridden by Emma-Jayne Wilson, dominated his rivals to the tune of 9 ½-length triumph in Saturday’s third race. Trained by Anthony Adamo for ICON Racing Stables, the 6-year-old son of Silent Name (JPN) paid $7.40 for the head-turning victory.

Hurricane Clair won a thrilling edition of the $250,000 Wonder Where Stakes, the final jewel in the Canadian Triple Tiara series. Trainer Abraham Katryan netted a double on Sunday when I Have an Idea won the first race and Golden Test took all the spoils in the fourth. Trainer William Tharrenos is three away from setting his personal-best mark for wins in a year.
