This Week: The GTA 6 Trailer Released

The gaming space is simply electric right now following the unexpected leak and subsequent official release of the Grand Theft Auto VI trailer, marking a pivotal moment for one of the most highly anticipated video game releases.

The official trailer for GTA VI has shattered records, amassing over 93 million views in 24 hours. This number surpasses the previous record for the most views by a non-music video in 24 hours on YouTube.

The game returns players to Vice City, much to the delight of franchise fans, and boasts one of the most massive game maps to date, being potentially larger than Red Dead Redemption 2’s game world. However, in a franchise first, the game will feature a female lead character, creating a milestone in the history of Rockstar’s hugely successful series.

The early leak of the trailer on platforms X and TikTok, followed by its official release, has only added to the anticipation and conversation around GTA VI. While an exact release date remains unconfirmed as of the time of writing, Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA VI is set to launch sometime in 2025, making sure to stretch out the anticipation of its loyal fanbase for another year.

This Week: Recent Holiday Sales Smashed Records

This Week: Renaissance, A Film by Beyoncé, is Out December 1

Beverly Hills glistened with glitz and glamor on November 25 as Beyoncé’s mega concert film, Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, rolled out the chrome carpet of its dazzling world premiere.

The concert flick will rock theaters this week on December 1, and the Beyhive is already buzzing for the three-hour rollercoaster of Queen Bee’s jaw-dropping performances, the behind-the-scenes grind of producing the 2023 Renaissance tour, and an intimate peek into her life as a mom and cultural superstar.

The premiere was not only studded with diamonds for the “cozy opulent” dress code, but with stars like Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, LeToya Luckett, and LaTavia Roberson. Sound familiar? The former members of Destiny’s Child joined hands for a reunion at the premiere!

Fans have been anxiously awaiting the accompanying visuals to Beyonce’s Renaissance album in the style of Lemonade from 2016, but that’s not quite what the “Cuff It” singer had in mind. The tour film will unveil a documentary-esque journey closer to Homecoming from 2019.  

The film comes hot off the heels of the record-breaking Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert film, which set a record for ticket sales when it debuted. Beyoncé’s numbers are expected to push the limits – at least if the Beyhive has anything to say about it!     

You can catch Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour film on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for at least four weeks at theaters, including AMC Theatres.

This Week: Now and Then, The Beatles Get Back!

Now and Then could change music history, showcasing the possibilities that AI opens up – both now and then. Here, it achieved what was previously an impossible task: isolating Lennon’s vocals from the accompanying piano in order to rebuild the song around it, featuring all the original members, including the late George Harrison’s guitar parts from 1995.

Now and Then – ironically, a song that transcends time – seals the deal on The Beatles’ transcendent legacy.
