The Glendronach Raises Expectations With New Era

The Glendronach Raises Expectations With New Era

  • By Admin

The Glendronach is set to captivate a new generation of discerning whisky fans with the introduction of an innovative new bottle design and creative direction. Honouring almost 200 years of sherry cask matured whisky expertise.

The new design seamlessly blends tradition and modern luxury, bringing together The Glendronach’s unique single malt combination of robust Highland Spirit and Spanish flair – a nod to the rare Pedro Ximenez and oloroso sherry casks from Andalucia in which the whisky is matured – which merge together to create a sherry crescendo like no other. Importantly, there is no change to the award winning liquids of the 12yo, 15yo and 18yo expressions, with this trio all picking up Double Gold Medals at the latest San Francisco World Spirits Competition in early 2024.

The Glendronach Master Blender, Rachel Barrie said of the re-launch: “For me, The Glendronach is a surprise, a revelation and a flavour crescendo. At first taste, it has this amplification that’s so much richer than your expectations, and our philosophy is just that – to raise expectations in Single Malt by creating the most exceptional sherried whisky. And we are now setting a new standard to match the exquisite nature of the spirit with reimagined visuals.”

The new look packaging presents a clean and pared-back design, with an updated image of the bramble and rooks that surround and protect the distillery, acting as a contemporary homage to The Glendronach’s brand namesake, ‘Valley Of The Brambles’ in Scots Gaelic. The initial rollout includes the 12yo, 15yo and 18yo expressions only, and will start to see revamped designs continue over the next year. The Glendronach portfolio will also welcome a number of new releases including three Master’s Anthology expressions and ultra-premium 21yo, 30yo and 40yo single malts in 2025.
