Somehow I’ve missed getting to this one in the sample pile. Tahbilk are now onto the 2023 release. Anyways, probably a bit of this still about. Label is 2017, but no change save for the vintage.
Tahbilk, Grenache Shiraz Mourvèdre, Nagambie Lakes, 2021
Red apple skin, raspberry licorice, plum drops/wine gums, wood shavings, corn husk, rooibos tea, Easter Egg chocolate and some smoky oak. Smooth and plush. There’s a creaminess through the mid palate that soothes like a hug, before fine, mesh tannin and bitter amaro herbs. The finish isn’t complicated but there’s plenty of enjoyment from a neat blend.
RRP: $28.95
Alc: 14.5%
