2021 was regarded as a great vintage for Central Victoria. Note, bottle image is of 2017, but naught else has changed.
Tahbilk, Cabernet Sauvignon, Nagambie Lakes, 2021
Familiar and comforting. Big hits of black and red berries, mocha (more in the choc spectrum than coffee, but that’s there too), smart and cedary spiced oak, tobacco leaf and turned brown earth. Flowing and supple modern, creamy black fruit with solid base of tobacco and mushroom earthiness. Bright and perky with just enough rustic structure to give sense of place.
