TAB has hired a senior business development manager and a commercial underwriter to boost the property finance firm’s footprint outside London and the M25.
Martyn Evans (pictured) joins as senior business development manager from Market Finance Solutions and will work closely with sales development director Jon Sturgess to develop new and existing relationships located in the North.
He has almost ten years of experience with roles at Market Finance Solutions, LiveMore Capital, Landbay and Virgin Money. During this time, Evans focused on onboarding and managing relationships across commercial networks and packagers in specialist finance.
Paul Holmes becomes a commercial underwriter at the firm, after working at Redwood Bank, and will be responsible for performing risk analysis as part of the credit process for prospective borrowers seeking commercial mortgages.
Holmes has over 20 years of experience with previous roles at Metro Bank and RCI Financial Services. During this time, he grew his experience in risk management, underwriting, and credit analysis for residential and commercial properties.
The hire comes as the business looks to grow its capacity in this area following its recent commercial product launch.
Earlier this month, the company completed a securitisation facility of up to £300m to fund bridging and mortgage products, backed by NatWest and US firm Atalaya Capital Management.
TAB founder and chief executive Duncan Kreeger says: “Martyn and Paul have a huge amount of experience and will add tremendous knowledge to our team.
“Having been predominantly London-based over the last five years, it is exciting to be growing our business in the North of England, and we look forward to increasing that presence over the coming years.”
The specialist lender says it is on track to grow its loan book to £500m in 2024.
