Unconventional and with a few surprises, CODE41 are launching perhaps their most interesting model to date with their new limited edition NB24 chronograph. After a record breaking first collection of 2021, in which the 1,380 pieces sold out in mere weeks, the expectation for this series is high. Will they meet expectations this time?
An Innovation Rarely Comes Alone
Since its founding in 2016, CODE41 has been known for their accessibility, transparency in relation to components and prices and for their craftmanship in the art of Swiss watchmaking. They always use the best modern, high-quality components: from the resistant Swiss manufacture movement, which was produced exclusively for CODE41, to the titanium grade 5 and AeroCarbon case – equipped with sapphire crystal – to the rare feature of the peripheral oscillating weight on the dial side, which can only be found on a few watches.
CODE41 listens to its audience and once again, the community had a say in the latest coup and opted for an orange dial that can be combined with numerous bracelet variants. With a diameter of 42.7 mm, 5 ATM water resistance and 90g, this is a real all-rounder. The biggest surprise, however, is the Stratom. This brand-new case, recently unveiled with great success at the launch of the T360 Tourbillon, will accompany the next edition of the NB24, which will be available for pre-order from 20 September.
The Story Behind the Name
Determination and perseverance are important values for CODE41. And so the name of the NB24 came from the initials of Nigel Bailly, the paraplegic racing driver who in 2021 fulfilled his lifelong dream by taking part in the 24h race at Le Mans.
The new chronograph is both quintessential CODE41 and yet unique. Refined aesthetics (see the distinctive lugs) are paired with timeless, urban design and serenity. Four visible screws, sporty lines and the multi-layer design complete the look.
Incidentally, with the exception of the barrel spring and the jewels, all components for the new chronograph are manufactured in-house. Promising features that could make the NB24 Stratom very successful. It is certainly worth the wait.
20 pieces of the NB24 Stratom will be available to preorder from 20 September up to and including 18 October 2023. The first deliveries are planned for summer 2024. The NB24 in its NativeDNA version is available now.
The NB24 Stratom will be available from € 7,900 incl. VAT.
