Sekk Sato Shiki Japanese Whisky

Sekk Sato Shiki Japanese Whisky

Sekk Sato Shiki has unveiled its new line of 100% authentic Japanese whiskies, offering Single Grain and Single Malt Whisky, along with a 21 Year and 41 Year aged whisky. Founded by Master Distiller and whisky expert, Taichi Seki, the brand arrives in select retailers across Texas, California, Nevada, Arizona, New York and New Jersey, the company says.

Sekk Sato Shiki exceeds Japanese governing requirements for production, distillation, bottling and aging for Japanese whisky. All of the grains are locally sourced from Makino farms in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan, according to the company.

Sekk Sato Shiki is then distilled at the Sato Distillery, which was established in 1905 and is located on the banks of the Houri River off the southern coast of Japan. The barrels used for aging Sato Shiki come from Ariake Angyo Cooperage, ultimately creating a whisky that is 100% Japanese, seed to sip, the company states.

Sekk Sato Shiki offers four products:

  • Single Malt Whisky – Features notes of mild sweetness, roasted barley and citrus along with vanilla, banana and butter on the palate. MSRP of $99.99 per 750-ml. 40% ABV.
  • Single Grain Whisky – Features floral aromas that blend with oak and vanilla, leading to a palate of roasted nuts, caramel and honey. MSRP of $49.99 per 750-ml. 43% ABV.
  • 21 Year & 41 Year Aged Single Grain Whisky – Features hints of sweet custard and dates with notes of marzipan, honey and roasted grains. $299.99 MSRP, 40% ABV and $899.99 MSRP, respectively.
