Scholarships for Law Students

Scholarships for Law Students

While becoming an attorney can be a lucrative career path, you must take specific steps before practicing law. One of those steps is graduating from law school, which costs an average of $$220,335, according to a recent Education Data Initiative report. Given the exorbitant expense of law school, students often seek out scholarships to help offset the cost.

If you’re a student aspiring to become an attorney, here are some of the best law school scholarships available.

1. American Bar Association Legal Opportunity Fund

Each year, the American Bar Association awards 10-20 incoming law school students with scholarships of $15,000 through its Legal Opportunity Fund. This fund acts as a source of financial assistance to incoming law students with diverse backgrounds. Scholarships are disbursed over three school years at $5,000 per year.
