Sunday’s EFL Cup final means Man City and Arsenal have the chance to close the gap on leaders Liverpool at the top of the Premier League.
City make the trip south to Bournemouth against whom they’ve never lost in the Premier League, a run of 13 wins in a row.
The Cherries are winless in six and although the Citizens haven’t been hitting top gear of late they should secure the three points.
Arsenal must bounce back from a late defeat at Porto in midweek. Newcastle are the visitors to the Emirates Stadium, looking to end a run of 11 games without a win away to the Gunners.
The Magpies season is in danger of fizzling out and they look a bit short when up against the best teams in the league.
Arsenal’s league form has been second to none since the turn of the year. A win Double for Arsenal and Manchester City pays 10/11 at SBK.
Despite Aston Villa’s tremendous record at home be wary of backing them at 1/2 against Forest today. Under Nuno Espirto Santos the Tricky Trees look a much tough proposition and he’s got a good record at Villa Park where he’s won three of of five previous visits.
The Oliver Glasner era begins at Selhurst Park today and Crystal Palace could get his tenure off to a winning start against Burnley. The Clarets have found the going tough this season and a new manager might just give the Eagles a bit more spring in their step at 19/20. Arguably better value is the 11/10 on two or more Palace goals.
Just when things were starting to motor for Rasmus Hojlund the brakes have been put on his season. A muscle problem has ruled him out for a few weeks and that could blunt Manchester United’s attack against Fulham today.
The Red Devils have a strong record against the Cottagers, unbeaten in 16 meetings and are 4/7 to win today. Notably 12 of United 14 Premier League wins this season have been by a one-goal margin and it could be a narrow win again this afternoon at 11/4.
In Scotland, Hearts have the chance to put a dent in Rangers title challenge. The Jambos are in terrific form, winning 11 and drawing one of the their last 12.
They led after 90 minutes on their last visit to Ibrox but two injury-time goals by the Gers saw them nick the points. A single goal was enough for Rangers when the sides met at Tynecastle too, so it could be a close one again today.
Similar to Manchester United, Rangers should just shade it. A home win by a one-goal margin pays 3/1.
Hibs have gone eight without a win in the league and their hopes of a top six finish could be just about ended by Dundee today. The Dens Park side have won their last two and look the better value to win at Easter Road today at 5/2.
Kilmarnock boast the best home record in the Premiership outside of Celtic and Rangers and have won both encounters with Aberdeen already this season.
The Dons still don’t seem to heading anywhere under Neil Warnock and haven’t kept a clean sheet since he arrived. 23/20 on the home win will tempt plenty of punters in.
In-form Morton (10/11) have to be backed at home to Airdrieonians. The Diamonds have the worst away record in the Championship whilst Ton look unstoppable at the moment after 11 without defeat in the league.
Alloa have won four on the spin in League One and can close the gap to one point on Hamilton with a win against the Accies who have lost their last two. The Wasps have drifted out to 11/2 which is worth taking on as one of the weekend’s long shots.
39 points separate Stenhousemuir and Clyde in League Two. Stenny look home and hosed at the top of the table and may have taken their foot off the gas in recent weeks but 9/20 still looks a fair price given the gulf between the sides.
