Santander head of mortgages Brad Fordham will leave the bank after the end of December after 28 years at the business “to pursue new opportunities”.
Fordham became the permanent head of home loans in May 2020, after taking up the role on an interim basis that January, replacing Miguel Sard.
Taking over from Sard during the pandemic, Fordham oversaw over 210,000 mortgage payment holidays to help customers through the health crisis.
Prior to that, he was head of mortgage distribution and had worked at the lender in a variety of roles for more than a quarter of a century.
He was part of Santander’s mortgage division when it was established in 2013.
A Santander spokesperson says: “Brad Fordham has decided to leave Santander on 31st December 2023 after 28 years with the business to pursue new opportunities.
“His leadership and expertise has helped the bank sustain its position as one of the leading mortgage providers in the UK and he leaves with our very best wishes for the future as well as our thanks for the huge contribution he has made to our homes business.”
