14.30 – Chesham Stakes (Listed) – 7f
A couple of bigger-priced runners for the opener on the final day. Gavin Cromwell’s SNELLEN did the job well on debut despite hanging late on and is a filly who could rank higher. She’s of serious interest, and so is Joseph O’Brien’s NEMONTE, another debutant winner, who will be suited to the longer distance.
Tips: Snellen, Nemonte
15.05 – Jersey Stakes (Group 3) – 7f
ENFJAAR is unbeaten in two starts and even though this is a step up in grade, the form of his debut success at Newmarket has been advertised since. Roger Varian’s smart prospect should be suited to this course and has improvement to come. THE ANTARCTIC could appreciate the step up in trip and has the form in the book to at least hit the frame.
Tips: Enfjaar, The Antarctic
15.40 – Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Series) – 6f
ROHAAN is a four-time C&D winner and has won at this meeting for the last two years. He will be all the better from his comeback run at Salisbury and has an excellent chance to bag a first Group 1 success. ART POWER was third in this two years ago and looked good at the Curragh. He has a good place chance at least.
Tips: Rohaan, Art Power
16.20 – Hardwicke Stakes (Group 2) – 1m3f
FREE WIND’s form has continuously worked out well and looked good in beating a subsequent Royal Ascot winner in a Group 2 last-time-out. She is definitely a big player under Frankie, though Melbourne Cup fourth DEAUVILLE LEGEND has a good chance on his return. He is progressing with every start and should be closer to the favourite at the odds.
Tips: Free Wind, Deauville Legend
17.00 – Wokingham Stakes (Heritage Handicap) – 6f
KING’S LYNN has a good record here and warmed up for this with a fine second at Chester last time. Harry Davies rides and this Group 2 winner from last year was an unlucky third in this two years ago. Compensation could await him if he runs to his best. JUAN LES PINS loves winning and won easily last time. He is drawn high and should be finishing with a flourish.
Tips: King’s Lynn, Juan Les Pins
17.35 – Golden Gates Stakes (Handicap) – 1m1f
HAVE SECRET shaped so well when fourth in the London Gold Cup and the first three home in that race have all acquitted themselves well at this meeting this week. With that run under his belt, he’s a leading candidate. KNOCKBREX has the assistance of Frankie and will be suited to the drop in distance, so he’s feared most.
Tips: Have Secret, Knockbrex
