Robin is one of, if not, the strongest buffer in the game from the start of her release for practically every non-Break team. Packing an incredible team-wide advance buff and unique damaging mechanics that synergize particularly well with any high attack frequency unit in the game. Robin’s presence alone can define many units’ worth.
HSR Robin Release Date
Robin’s rerun banner will be in the first half of Version 2.5 releasing on September 9th, 2024 and will run until October 2nd, 2024.
HSR Robin Talents
Robin HSR Kit Overview (Trace Level 10)
Ultimate
Robin’s kit is centralized around her Ultimate and to talk about how she plays, it is pivotal to understand how this works. It is an extremely costly Ultimate in terms of energy but has practically unmatched impact, unlike any other Ultimate. When used, Robin will Advance Forward the entire team by 100%, then enter the “Concerto” state.
During this Concerto state, Robin will be unable to move and will disappear from the Action Order, and there will be a Concerto icon on it with a base Speed of 90. Once it’s Concerto’s turn, Robin will exit this state. Robin can still be targeted by Attack, Debuff, and Buff during the Concerto state and cannot be crowd-controlled.
Buffs
While Robin is in Concerto, she will buff everyone’s Attack by a fixed percentage and a portion of her Attack. Whenever an ally launches an instance of attack during Concerto, Robin will deal damage to them equal to 120% of her Attack. This attack will always be a Critical Hit with a fixed Crit Damage of 150%. It is a very strong sustained damage source throughout the battle in teams with a high frequency of attacks such as the standard follow-up comp.
Energy Generation
Robin’s synergy with high-frequency attackers does not stop here. Each attack by a teammate gives her 2 Energy and it is one of her primary Energy Recovery sources for consecutive Ultimate use. In a team where the attack frequency of her teammates is low, Robin may find trouble recharging her Ultimate fast without external energy support like Huohuo, Tingyun, or Quid Pro Quo Light Cone.
Skill
Robin’s skill is a pretty standard but powerful teamwide damage boost that lasts for 3 of Robin’s turns. Generally one would want to use the skill as soon as possible, and then enter the Concerto state once everyone has already moved to maximize the Advance Forward. Her first trace granting her Advanced Forward at the start of the battle is exactly to facilitate this rotation, letting her move before everyone and put up her Skill to prepare for her Ultimate after everyone moves after.
Robin HSR Core Skills
Basic Attack – Wingflip White Noise
Deals Physical DMG equal to 100% of Robin’s ATK to a single target enemy.
Skill – Pinion’s Aria
Increase DMG dealt by all allies by 50%, lasting for 3 turn(s). This duration decreases by 1 at the start of Robin’s every turn.
Ultimate – Vox Harmonique, Opus Cosmique
Robin enters the Concerto state and makes all other allies immediately take action.
When in the Concerto state, increase all allies’ ATK by 22.8% of Robin’s ATK plus 200. Moreover, after every attack by allies, Robin deals Additional Physical DMG equal to 120% of her ATK 1 time, with a fixed CRIT Rate for this damage set at 100% and fixed CRIT DMG set at 150%.
When in the Concerto state, Robin is immune to Crowd Control debuffs, and cannot enter her turn or take action until Concerto state ends. A Concerto countdown appears on the Action Order bar. When the countdown’s turn begins, Robin exits the Concerto state and immediately takes action. The countdown has its own fixed SPD of 90.
Talent – Tonal Resonance
Increase all allies’ CRIT DMG by 20%. Moreover, after allies attack enemy targets, Robin additionally regenerates 2 Energy for herself.
Technique – Overture of Inebriation
After using Technique, creates a dimension around the character that lasts for 15 seconds. Enemies within this dimension will not attack Robin and will follow Robin while the dimension is active. After entering battle while the dimension is active, Robin regenerates 5 Energy at the start of each wave. Only 1 dimension created by allies can exist at the same time.
Robin HSR Traces
Coloratura Cadenza
When the battle begins, this character’s action is Advanced Forward by 25%.
Impromptu Flourish
While “Concerto” is active, increases all Party targets’ CRIT DMG dealt by 25% when launching follow-up attacks.
Sequential Passage
When using Skill, additionally regenerates 5 Energy.

Eidolon Priority
Robin’s E1 is one of the strongest early Eidolon in the game and very worth picking up, in fact even more valuable than her Signature Light Cone.
Afterward, going for her Signature Light Cone is better than her E2, but E2 is still a decently nice Eidolon to pick up if one wants to vertically invest in her and her team, as extra energy per hit can let her run Attack% Rope instead of Energy Regeneration Rope.
It’s a noticeable improvement, plus the extra teamwide Speed buff for the team to hit specific breakpoint. Her E4 is very poor in value and mostly is just a stepping stone for E6, which turns her into a full-fledged DPS with extremely high damage per ultimate proc.
- Eidolon 1: Priority Very High
- Eidolon 2: Priority Medium High
- Eidolon 4: Priority Very Low
- Eidolon 6: Priority Very High

HSR Robin Light Cones
Premium Options
Flowing Nightglow
Every time any ally attacks, the wearer gains 1 stack of Cantillation. Each stack of Cantillation increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 3/3.5/4/4.5/5%, stacking up to 5 times. When the wearer uses their Ultimate, removes Cantillation and gains Cadenza. Cadenza increases the Wearer’s ATK by 48/60/72/84/96% and all allies’ DMG dealt by 24/28/32/36/40%, lasting for 1 turn(s).
Robin’s signature Light Cone is extremely strong, albeit overshadowed by her E1. It gives her essentially 3 things: good Energy Regen for a smoother rotation, high Attack for herself which also translates to a higher Attack buff to teammate and high damage per proc, and a permanent Damage buff for the team. It is a very worthwhile pickup after E1.
Past Self In Mirror
Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 60/70/80/90/100%. After the wearer uses their Ultimate, increases all allies’ DMG by 24/28/32/36/40%, lasting for 3 turns. Should the wearer’s Break Effect exceed or equal 150%, 1 Skill Point will be recovered. At the start of each wave, immediately regenerates 10/12.5/15/17.5/20 Energy for all allies. Effects of the same type cannot stack.
This Light Cone is great for the starting energy per wave that massively helps for fast clear, although Robin does not need to be the one to hold it to benefit from it. In situations where one’s Ruan Mei wants to be deployed with another Light Cone and Robin is in a team without another Harmony, then Past Self in Mirror can shine and get her an early Ultimate.
F2P Options
But the Battle Isn’t Over
Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 10/12/14/16/18% and regenerates 1 Skill Point when the wearer uses their Ultimate on an ally. This effect can be triggered after every 2 uses of the wearer’s Ultimate. When the wearer uses their Skill, the next ally taking action (except the wearer) deals 30/35/40/45/50% more DMG for 1 turn(s).
The main reason why this Light Cone is considered is for the high base Attack and the flat Energy Regeneration Rate. Robin does not have the luxury of abusing utility Light Cone like Dance Dance Dance so even a stats stick for Attack and Energy Regen is a great option for her.
For Tomorrow’s Journey
Increases the wearer’s ATK by 16/20/24/28/32%. After the wearer uses their Ultimate, increases their DMG dealt by 18/21/24/27/30%, lasting for 1 turn.
This Light Cone comes free and gives very good personal stats to Robin, but does not really offer anything for the team beyond the transferred Attack from her Ultimate, and does not help her Energy Regeneration.
Poised to Bloom
Increases the wearer’s ATK by 16/20/24/28/32%. Upon entering battle, if two or more characters follow the same Path, then these characters’ CRIT DMG increases by 16/20/24/28/32%. Abilities of the same type cannot stack.
A very good option if one can get high Superimposition and if Robin is used in a team with double Hunt units like Feixiao with Topaz.
HSR Robin Main Stats
- Body: Attack >> HP
- Feet: Attack >> HP
- Orb: Attack > Physical Damage
- Rope: Energy Regeneration Rope > Attack
Robin’s damage and buff scales with Attack so it is the stats one should aim for primary when building her. Physical Damage Orb increases her damage higher than Attack but does not translate to a higher team buff.
For Rope, Attack Rope is an okay alternative to Energy Regeneration Rope if Robin can get enough Energy for back-to-back Ultimate without it (i.e when there are Energy Supports like Tingyun/Huohuo on the team or in a team with extremely high Attack frequency).
Swapping one piece to HP is also an option to improve her survivability at the expense of weaker Attack buff.
HSR Robin Sub Stats
- Attack
- HP
- Speed
Because of Robin’s traces that advance herself at the start of the battle, one should get her Speed to around 120 so she can outspeed most of her teammates on the first turn put up her Skill damage buff, and also trigger her Planar set bonus such as Sprightly Vonwaq and Space Sealing Station. After that, any additional Attack and HP from substats will be beneficial for her.
HSR Robin Relics
Any 2+2 combination (2-Pc: Increases ATK by 12%)
- Musketeer of Wild Wheat
- Prisoner In Deep Confinement
- The Wind-Soaring Valorous
Robin is relatively lax in terms of set bonuses as she only wants Attack%. Any combination of 2+2 between these sets with high Attack% substats is good enough for her.
HSR Robin Planar Sets
Sprightly Vonwacq
2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer’s action is Advanced Forward by 40% immediately upon entering battle.
Sprightly Vonwaq is generally her most comfortable option thanks to the Energy Regeneration Rate bonus and the fact that it lets her outspeed everyone on the first turn with its bonus to use her skill as soon as possible.
Space Sealing Station
2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 12%. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 120 or higher, the wearer’s ATK increases by an extra 12%.
Space Sealing Station gives the most amount of Attack to Robin and is the highest damaging option if her rotation and energy are fixed by her teammates and setups.
Lushaka’s Waterscape
2-Pc: Increases the wearer’s Energy Regeneration Rate by 5%. If the wearer is not the first character in the team lineup, then increases the ATK of the first character in the team lineup by 12%.
A new but quite good alternative for Robin as it also gives an Energy Regeneration Rate and an additional buff to the team’s main DPS.
HSR Robin Teammates
Main DPS
Feixiao
Of all the DPS available, Feixiao is the strongest beneficiary of Robin. Her attack frequency is unmatched and she utilizes all of Robin’s kits to the fullest, making them potentially one of the strongest natural synergy in the game.
Dr. Ratio
Dr. Ratio was the best partner-in-crime for Robin before Feixiao came along, and he still ranks very highly in Robin’s teammates list for the same reason as Feixiao – extremely good Attack frequency.
Yunli
Yunli is a bit of an odd case. She does have decent attack frequency to deliver Robin’s damage, but noticeably less and also less reliable than Feixiao and Dr. Ratio. However, Yunli is a unit with a very high natural Multiplier Value and thus scales extremely well with the buffs that Robin provides. They also both love energy support like Tingyun and Huohuo.
Jingliu
Jingliu has decent attack frequency in and out of her Transmigration state. Pairing with Robin can get her back into the Transmigration state very quickly when combined with a unit like Bronya which can shorten her clear time.
Harmony/Nihility
Tingyun
Tingyun is one of the best harmony companions for Robin thanks to her ability to quickly provide energy. Furthermore, Tingyun has a great SP economy and naturally high speed to basic attack a lot and deliver Robin’s damage.
Bronya
Bronya is quite a strong combo with Robin. The general rotation would be Robin skill -> Bronya advance forward Robin -> Robin can either basic or attack and quickly go into her Ultimate.
This way Robin can get her ultimate very quickly and the team also does not waste turns as Robin Ultimate drags everyone back again.
Furthermore, since Robin’s turn does not expire during Concerto, Bronya can cast her skill on Robin during this duration to improve Robin’s damage and it will stay on for the entirety of Concerto. Do note that they both have rather poor SP Economy so the sustain should be an SP positive unit to balance out.
Pela
Pela has naturally high speed and a low energy ultimate, meaning she can act quite often to deliver Robin’s damage. Furthermore, Def Shred is one of the effective ways of improving Robin’s proc damage.
Sub DPS
Topaz
Topaz has a very high attack frequency and is a strong follow-up sub-DPS for units like Feixiao or Dr. Ratio, making her a natural high synergy teammate for Robin.
Jade
Jade can be best described as AoE Topaz and has a very high attack frequency. A team with Jade and Robin can trivialize almost any Pure Fiction side.
Moze
Moze hits very often with his follow-up attack and is essentially the F2P Topaz for Feixiao/Dr. Ratio, making him a worthwhile consideration.
March 7th (Hunt)
Similar to other followup sub-DPS, March has high attack frequency and is a good unit to deliver Robin’s damage..
Sustain
Huohuo
Robin’s ultimate has a max 160 energy cost, meaning a Huohuo’s ultimate would give her a whopping 32 energy back. Furthermore, Huohuo also buffs attack with her ultimate which is highly appreciated by Robin. As an Abundance unit, she also can hold Quid Pro Quo and Fine Fruit, two energy-based Light Cones that work well with Robin.
Aventurine
Aventurine is the go-to sustain for many follow-up teams with high attack frequency that scales up with the amount of enemies.
Gallagher
Gallagher has extremely good SP economy and can act frequently thanks to his high speed and the advance forward on his ultimate, meaning he is a very strong holder of Quid Pro Quo – a Light Cone that works wonders with Robin in terms of energy funneling, albeit randomly.
HSR Robin Teams
Robin Standard Follow Up Team
This is Robin’s bread-and-butter team in the current landscape of the game. Feixiao can be replaced by Dr. Ratio, while Topaz can be replaced by Moze or March 7th.
Robin Standard Hyper Carry Team
Robin can either go with Bronya or Tingyun for a strong dual support core for a hyper carry like Feixiao or Yunli. Her buffs are quite generic and do not lock her into the follow-up archetype.
Robin “Harm-only” Team
Robin can be run as a carry with units that boost her damage and move often. While this is viable, it does waste her high ceiling a bit compared to a traditional team.
HSR Robin Pull Value and Conclusion
While Robin’s Crit Damage buff from one of her traces may make one think she is a dedicated Follow-up support, she falls under a broader category of supporting any unit that can attack a lot, and her buffs are so generic that she ends up being exceptionally influential in any team that she can go into, with the sole exception of Break team.
Her damage is good enough that she can even function as a carry, with several teammates acting as deliverers of her damage. Simply put, Robin is one of the strongest units in all game modes and a very high recommendation pull for practically everyone.
