A woman has a pending court case after allegedly stealing about $40K from a man. Hours before the theft, she had drinks with him at a Las Vegas Strip gaming property.

The suspect, Monica Falcon, had just met the man at the unnamed Las Vegas casino on June 12, police said. They then went back to the man’s residence.

When the man woke up the following day, Falcon had left the apartment.

Some $600 in cash was stolen. His bank balance was a negative $6,500 even though it had been $17K. The man’s cryptocurrency account had been tapped into and $17,500 was withdrawn. Also, $4,912 was taken from a Venmo account.

Man Has Fuzzy Memory

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officers were contacted by the man. He had a fuzzy recollection of the night’s events.

Officers spoke to him and he told them that he would recognize her again if he saw her.

Police also spotted the suspect on surveillance footage taken at the casino.

Officers identified her and asked her to come into police headquarters. She refused and was arrested on a warrant in August.

She was charged with theft with a value of $25K or greater but less than $100K, according to Las Vegas TV station KLAS. If convicted on the charge, Falcon could face a prison sentence, fines, and be ordered to make restitution to the man.

It’s unclear if any of the missing cash was recovered by LVMPD officers.

Falcon is scheduled to appear in local court on December 4.

Soliciting, Prostitution Accusations

No word if the man and Falcon had sex while the two were in the apartment.

Nor did the LVMPD say if the night’s events involving Falcon included a “trick roll.” That’s commonly used to describe when a sex worker steals items of value or cash from a client.

Trick rolls are frequently reported to LVMPD officers. Often, they take place at hotels after a suspected prostitute meets a possible client on a casino floor or at a bar.

Often, the sex worker drinks with the customer before they head up to the client’s hotel room or residence.

A check of courtroom documents further revealed Falcon previously was charged with soliciting, engaging in prostitution, and trespassing, KLAS reported.

It’s not known if the prior charges are still pending.
