Real Betis vs Las Palmas Prediction: Los Verdiblancos extend hot streak at home
Las Palmas are the latest opposition to try their luck at the Estadio Benito Villamarin, as Real Betis host the island side on Sunday evening (20:00).
Manuel Pellegrini’s team are still unbeaten at home this season and are currently on a ten-match unbeaten run in all competitions, a run of form that has them seventh in La Liga and top of their group in the Europa League.
A stern test is expected this weekend, though, with the visitors one of the most in-form teams in the division after winning three of their last four league games.
Real Betis vs Las Palmas Betting Tips:
Team News
Goalkeeper Claudio Bravo suffered a hamstring injury in Betis’ 4-1 win over Aris Limassol earlier this month, so Francisco Vieites is expected to deputise once more. Isco is also a doubt after reportedly withdrawing from Thursday’s training session.
Las Palmas have no new injury concerns heading into Sunday.
Match Odds
Real Betis can be backed at 4/6 to pick up another three points at home this weekend, while Las Palmas are priced at 9/2 to pull off an upset. The draw is available at 13/5.
Both teams to score is EVS and over 2/5 goals is also EVS.
Real Betis to win and under 3.5 goals @ 6/5
14 points from six games at the Estadio Benito Villamarin marks Betis as one of the most fearsome sides at home in La Liga. They are still yet to taste defeat there this season – even in the Europa League – and you’d be brave to back against them recording a fifth league win at home on Sunday.
That’s not to say it will be a walk in the park, though. After losing their first four games on the road – three of them by a one-goal margin – Las Palmas have found the formula away from home, winning two and drawing one of their last three. Only five clubs have conceded fewer goals on their travels than Los Amarillos (eight), with only Real Madrid (2-0) scoring more than once.
Betis, meanwhile, haven’t exactly been rattling them in at home, the 3-0 against Valencia aside. Half of the league have scored more goals at home than them, and the under 3.5 goals bet has won in all of their home fixtures. Betis to win at home and under 3.5 goals has, therefore, won four times this term.
The home side should have enough to win a fourth consecutive league game at home (seventh in all competitions), but Las Palmas are unlikely to be a pushover as they seek to make it four away games unbeaten in La Liga.
Real Betis to win 1-0 @ 5/1
If you agree with the logic behind the first tip you can take things a bit further with a 1-0 scoreline bet for the home side.
Betis have kept four clean sheets at the Estadio Benito Villamarin this term, and two of their four wins there have been by a one-goal margin. One of those was a 1-0 defeat of Rayo Vallecano.
The 1-0 has been more prominent for Las Palmas; five of their games have ended in that score, one in their favour and four against – including three consecutive away matches at the start of the 2023/24 campaign.
It could be another close encounter this weekend between the sides in seventh and eighth.
