The Los Angeles Rams return home to California this weekend as they welcome the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles to the SoFi Stadium on Sunday evening (21:05).
The Rams have been surprisingly successful through the first month of NFL action, and come into this match off the back of a 29-23 victory over the Colts, while Philly went toe-to-toe with the Commanders, winning 34-31 in overtime.
Team News
Cooper Kupp could make a return for the Rams here after being elevated into the 21-day practice window, and all eyes will be on whether the wide receiver features on Sunday.
Alaric Jackson’s status is still yet to be determined, while Ochaun Mathis could also be in line for a return for Los Angeles.
As for Philly, Cam Jurgens is absent due to a foot sprain, while Fletcher Cox, Marlon Tuipulotu and Sydney Brown will also miss out here due to various injury woes.
Philadelphia Eagles (-3.5) @ 20/23
The Eagles may be undefeated but they have looked more vulnerable than their season record suggests.
They haven’t been beating teams like they should – the most recent example being the Commanders game last week, Philly should have been out of sight before overtime.
However, the Eagles fought hard for that victory, and I think that humbling lesson will pay off against a dangerous Rams outfit.
LA will keep the score close for most of the game, but Philly’s elite talent will eventually shine through, for me.
Over 50.5 points @ 10/11
Philly will have their hands full trying to deal with the Rams’ passing offense which ranks as the second-best in the NFL.
Similarly, the Eagles have offensive weapons that can hurt any team in the league, and I can see this game developing into a shootout.
The weakness of this Rams team is their inability to stop the run, and Nick Sirianni strayed away from the ground game in Week 4, but if he commits to it here, I can see the points racking up.
