Evening fare from wonderful ‘Ponte Carlo’ – 7 races, 6pm – 9pm, and lots of top northern handlers and jocks are involved.
Let’s see if we can find a couple to run well for us on Monday night.
Selections;
6.0 Soul Seeker
A winner-in-waiting, for me. A course-and-distance scorer, recent third, then second – now first? This is an apprentice event, and pilot Calum Hogan takes off a handy 7lb.
The 6-yr-old is tough and vastly experienced; qualities that I hope will be important on Monday night for master trainer David O’Meara.
7.0 Real Terms
Respectable recent efforts in very decent York and Musselburgh contests. Should be coming to the boil nicely and has won off a mark just 1lb lower before. Could be the mare’s evening – fingers crossed.
For me, punters are spoiled for choice quite beautifully on Monday night, and Ponte is one of the undoubted attractions. Have fun, take care, and good luck.
