First up for online poker players with access to PokerStars’ international network is the ever-popular 50/50 series. Kicking off on November 12, the series will feature 50 tournaments each costing $50 to enter.

There will be $3 million in guaranteed prize money, with the series concluding on November 19 with a $400,000 main event. No Limit Hold’em dominates the latest PokerStars 50/50 schedule, but the organizers have made sure all tastes are catered to.

There are two new tournaments this year. The Açai, a 6-Max PKO event, kicks off the series. The other newbie 50/50 players can try is The Copacabana. So called because its 8-Max structure and afternoon start time will suit those who want a more relaxed session of poker.

In addition to the new events, PokerStars’ 50/50 series will feature Pot Limit Omaha, 2-7 Triple Draw, 8-Game, No Limit Omaha 8, and H.O.R.S.E tournaments.

Fall fun at PokerStars North America

For poker players in North America who can’t enter the 50/50 Series, PokerStars is bringing back its Fall Fest.

Available to players in New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Ontario, Canada, the progressive knockout (PKO) series will run from November 17 to 27. Buy-ins for the PKO tournaments start at $5 and top out at $1,500.

US online poker regulations mean that players can only compete against people within their respective state. As such, the guarantees and main events will be slightly different depending on the state you’re in:

  • PokerStars NJ Fall Fest: $1.25 million total guaranteed prizepool, including a $300 main event with a $200,000 guarantee
  • PokerStars MI Fall Fest: $1.25 million total guaranteed prizepool, including a $300 main event with a $200,000 guarantee
  • PokerStars PA Fall Fest: $1 million total guaranteed prizepool, including a $300 main event with a $175,000 guarantee
  • PokerStars Ontario Fall Fest: $550,000 total guaranteed prizepool, including a $200 main event with a $70,000 guarantee

As always, PokerStars will be hosting satellites for all of its main events, including Spin & Go feeders costing less than $10. Once the online action comes to a conclusion, all eyes will turn to Prague for one of the most popular European Poker Tour (EPT) stops of the year. CardsChat will be on the ground when the main event gets underway, so stay tuned for all the big stories from PokerStars’ biggest tournaments this November and December.
