Phil Hellmuth Hosts Big Deal for One Drop Charity Poker Tourney at Resorts World in Las Vegas

Celebrity poker players and Formula 1 race stars will descend on Resorts World Las Vegas tomorrow to raise money for the One Drop Foundation, which aims to provide clean water to communities in need throughout the globe.

Phil Hellmuth will MC the $10,000 Big Deal for One Drop Nov. 22. He’ll be there alongside Guy Laliberte, the guy who came up with Cirque du Soleil and also founded One Drop. Laliberte was once known as one of the biggest poker whales, but stepped away from the game in recent years (How rich is he? He’s the only man I interviewed who had gone to outer space).

“It gives me great pleasure to be the MC for the Big Deal for One Drop charity tournament in Las Vegas during Race Week. It will be hosted by my friend Guy Laliberté,” Hellmuth said in a press release.

Starting at noon Las Vegas time, the tourney takes place not in the poker room, but at Resorts Worlds’ Allē Lounge on 66. The organizers timed the event up with the Formula 1 race that’s taking place there this weekend, and several stars of the sport will be playing, including David Coulthard, Martin Brundle, Otmar Szafnaeur, Alex Wurzand, F1 photographer Kim Illman, and F1 artist Paul Oz.

Confirmed poker stars include Maria Ho, Jeff Gross, and the winner of the very first Big One For One Drop, Antonio Esfandiari, who has been showing up to more and more poker events after a substantial absent.

Once part of the World Series of Poker, the One Drop charity tournaments have been taken over by the World Poker Tour, who has added a Monaco Grand Prix prize package that will award two VIP passes to the qualifying rounds, two VIP passes for race day, and two private invitations for a VIP reception at the Palace of Monaco with the Prince.

But there are so many other wild and exotic racing-eccentric prizes that will be won during the event, including:

  • Singapore Grand Prix VIP experience for two, including private suite and hospitality tickets for this prestigious race, including hotel stay in Singapore in October 2025.
  • Montreal Grand Prix VIP experience for two in Guy Laliberté’s home city courtesy of event promoters Grand Prix du Canada. The package includes platinum tickets and VIP hospitality and two passes for the renowned Ritz Carlton Grand Prix party in June 2025. This prize is kindly donated by the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation.
  • Sustainable future of racing experience for four with VIP hospitality as guests and courtesy of the Mahindra Formula E team at the AAB FIA Formula E World Championship in 2025.
  • Michael Schumacher, helmeted portrait. Stunning limited edition, hand-embellished 41-inch canvas from official F1 painter and sculptor Paul Oz.
  • Steve Aoki money-can’t-buy DJ booth experience for four, including a meet-and-greet with Steve. Live the energy of the show from the DJ booth and enjoy bottle service and hospitality from the best seats in the house courtesy of Steve.
  • Ultra-limited-edition Dos Caras hand-numbered Gran Embajador Tequila for refined tastes, valued at $10,000+ per bottle courtesy of Dos Caras.

Also, entrants will party that evening at Zouk nightclub with performances from Kaskade and Deadmau5. For more information about the One Drop Foundation or tomorrow’s tourney, click here.
