A place in the second qualifying round of the Champions League is up for grabs on Wednesday and both Petrocub and Ordabasy will fancy their chances of making progress in Europe’s premier club competition after a goalless draw last week.

Team news
Few changes are expected to the Petrocub line-up, particularly in defence after the Moldovan champions held firm in Kazakhstan.

However, attacking midfielder Mihail Platica, who scored 15 goals last season, will be looking to start after appearing as a substitute in the goalless draw.

Dembo Darboe will also be pushing for inclusion in the Ordabasy attack, but the visitors have no fresh injuries after the first leg.

Ordabasy draw no bet @ 10/11

Each of these teams were title winners for the first time last season and will be dreaming of making significant progress in the Champions League.

It looks a difficult game to call after they played out a goalless draw in last week’s first leg, but the advantage could just lie with the visitors from Kazakhstan.

Moldovan outfit Petrocub may feel they have done much of the hard work by claiming a goalless draw on the road, but Ordabasy should not be discounted as they are unbeaten in their last seven games on their travels.

Perhaps of greater significance is that the Kazakhstan season is 12 games old – they are just in a summer break – and Ordabasy have headed into that interval having won their last four games to go three points clear at the top of the table.

So they could be more match fit than their opponents who have to wait another few weeks before their return to domestic action, so taking the visitors in the draw-no-bet market could be a sensible option.

Under 0.5 first-half goals @ 13/8

The draw-no-bet option seems best with a tight game in prospect and that means we may not witness much first-half action in a potentially cagey affair.

Petrocub have won their last 12 league and cup home games and scored at least three times in 11 of those successes, but this looks a lot tougher than their regular domestic assignments.

Both defences did well to hold firm in last week’s first leg and there seems a decent chance that they will both be able to maintain their clean sheet during the first half of Wednesday’s clash.

Match Odds

The match has been priced up as a tight affair with Petrocub 6/4 to come out on top inside 90 minutes while Ordabasy are 7/4 to make it to the next round without the need for extra-time.

The draw is priced at just 2/1 and while it is 6/5 that the game will feature more than two goals, both teams to score is a your-choice affair at 5/6.

Another goalless draw is rated as a 7/1 chance.
