Burrata Salad is a Mediterranean infused salad that’s bursting with simple flavors, similar to this Peach Burrata Salad, except we use figs, olives, croutons and radishes. Each has a unique taste and each is worth making!
For now let’s jump into today’s recipe–simple, easy and so luscious!
What is Peach Burrata Salad
Peach salads are a staple in summer! And the combo of peaches and burrata are like a dreamy pair. The salad recipe is made of a bed of greens, usually arugula for us since we love it! Plus we always add in some fresh basil leaves for a bright kick to the salad.
The salad is made primarily of lots and lots of fresh peaches, and you can add to that some sliced onions, avocados, tomatoes, radishes or whatever your heart desires!
As for the dressing, nothing could be simpler. While you can use a basil vinaigrette like the one with this delicious Panzanella Salad, we made it even simpler! Just salt, pepper, balsamic syrup and olive oil. Quality olive oil, of course. Our favorite is Mina, and it’s a Moroccan brand which is available at stores and amazon. SO GOOD!
Ingredients for Peach Burrata Salad
- Greens: We used arugula because it’s our favorite. However you can use spinach or spring greens.
- Peaches: Sweet and seasonal summer peaches are a MUST here!
- Burrata Cheese: You can find lactose free burrata now which is a DREAM for us! You can read all about burrata cheese here and get to know it!
- Basil Leaves: We use it to compliment the arugula as the salad base.
- Onions: Purple onions add a nice spice kick to the salad.
- Avocados: Optional, but they add a creamy texture which pairs so beautifully with the sweet peaches and ccreamy burrata.
- Toasted Hazelnuts: Anything crunchy here works, even croutons. We love nuts or pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds, and hazelnuts have a sweetness that goes so well with peaches! Walnuts and almonds are another favorite to substitute here.
How to Make Peach Burrata Salad
- Start by slicing the ingredients for the salad on a cutting board. While you can of course dice the ingredients if that’s your preference, we prefer slicing.
- Now that all your ingredients are sliced and ready, it’s time to assemble the salad. Make sure to add on your favorites like tomatoes, apples, radishes etc.. This is a super forgiving salad, and seriously so GOOD! Feel free to get some inspiration from this Burrata Caprese and Burrata Salad.
- This is basil from our garden and we couldn’t be more excited to use it! Basil leaves add a nice bright and fresh touch to any salad green you’re using. Add your sliced ingredients over the basil leaves and greens.
- Once the salad is layered, the burrata cheese goes last. Break it up with your hand as shown above or use a knife to gently break it apart. At this point the salad is ready and needs a light dressing.
Dressing for the Peach Burrata Salad
Balsamic syrup is the magical ingredient to dress up this salad recipe, along with quality olive oil. Simple, yet SO GOOD!
Season it up with salt, pepper, chilli flakes and garnish the salad recipe with extra basil if you’d like, then serve right away!
