Gang Green gets the W
Aaron Rodgers had a pedestrian stat line (18-of-30 for 176 yards) in a win over the Titans, but his two touchdown passes were enough to secure his first victory as a Jet. The 40-year-old will likely want to get the ball to Garrett Wilson more on Thursday night after only sending six targets his way in both Week 1 and Week 2.
However, that might prove difficult against Christian Gonzalez. The Patriots’ shutdown sophomore cornerback lined up against DK Metcalf on seven targets on Sunday, allowing just three receptions for 24 yards.
“Technically my second. Somehow that first one counts, four important plays.” 😂

Patriots fall to .500
New England was almost the NFL’s most surprising 2-0 club, falling in overtime 23-20 to the Seahawks. The Patriots allowed 100-yard days to both Metcalf and Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but limited Seattle to just 46 yards on the ground.
Jerod Mayo’s squad will have to hold up in the run game against the Jets. New York boasts a two-headed monster in Breece Hall and 20-year-old rookie Braelon Allen, who scored two TDs against the Titans on Sunday, including the game winner.
New York vs New England
New York is a 6.5-point home favorite over the Patriots. After rebounding from an embarrassing 32-19 loss to the 49ers on Monday Night Football to pick up a week 2 win, Thursday’s contest will be Gang Green’s third game in a span of 11 days.
The over/under of 39 points is one of the lowest game totals on the Week 3 slate. Both Rodgers and Jacoby Brissett have passed for under 200 yards in both their starts this season, so don’t expect either club to air it out.

Best Bet
After rushing for 120 yards and a TD in New England’s 16-10 upset victory over the Bengals in Week 1, Rhamondre Stevenson piled up 81 yards and a score versus Seattle. Antonio Gibson also added 96 yards on the ground.
Expect Jerod Mayo to run the rock against a Jets defense that was gashed for 180 rushing yards against the Niners in Week 1. We like New England (+6.5) to cover the spread with the UNDER 39.
