Over 2.5 Goals Tips: 7/1 four-fold from Tuesday’s offering
There’s a wide range of football matches in store on Tuesday, including Champions League qualifiers and National League fixtures. So there is plenty of matches on offer to throw together an over 2.5 goals accumulator
I’ve selected four matches from the competitions above to build a four-fold which pays out at 7/1. Read on for my over 2.5 goals tips for Tuesday, August 20.
Over 2.5 Goals Tips – Tuesday, August 20
- Bodo/Glimt vs Crvena zvezda @ 8/13
- Barnet vs Forest Green Rovers @ 4/6
- Eastleigh vs Solihull Moors @ 4/6
- Halifax Town vs Gateshead @ 4/5
Over 2.5 goals acca pays at 7.07/1
Bodo/Glimt vs Crvena zvezda @ 8/13
Bodo/Glimt will be hoping that they can take full advantage of their Champions League play-off home leg against Crvena zvezda as they look to take part in the first season of the new-look group stage.
The Norwegian champions are deep into their 2024 campaign so they are at the peak of their fitness heading into this clash. They have mustered 42 goals in their domestic league so they will be looking sharp in front of goal.
Their opponents have started the 2024/25 SuperLiga season strongly with four wins from five, the other being a draw, while conjuring up 18 goals in the process. So there are going to be two very strong attacking teams on display on Tuesday, and I am confident that we will see over 2.5 goals land here.
Barnet vs Forest Green Rovers @ 4/6
Two of the promotion favourites in the National League collide as Barnet host Forest Green Rovers at The Hive, and both sides have started the season relatively well. The visitors have enjoyed the better of their first two matches, collecting four points, while Barnet have picked up three themselves.
It’s early days and we won’t see either of these teams at their peak for a while, but having such a clash arrive early still builds up the excitement. Barnet have registered three goals so far to Forest Green’s seven, so I think there should be a few goals on offer on Tuesday night.
Over 2.5 goals has been a winning selection in both teams’ opening two league fixtures, too, which would suggest that we will see this trend continue when they go head-to-head.
Eastleigh vs Solihull Moors @ 4/6
Staying in the fifth tier, I think there should be a few goals in store when Eastleigh take on Solihull Moors. The hosts have come flying out the traps with six points out of a possible six, and that appears to be the magic number as that is also how many goals they have scored. They weren’t in the play-off picture last term, but they sure look like they’re ready to push for a top-seven finish in 2024/25.
Solihull have three points so far as they look to shake off last year’s two Wembley heartaches (the play-off final and the FA Trophy final). The Moors will be looking to finish in the play-offs at least again, and they have looked decent going forward, having mustered four goals so far. Over 2.5 goals has successfully landed in both their matches so far, which bodes well for this fixture.
These are two teams with big ambitions for the term and I think that we could be treated to a few goals in Hampshire.
Halifax Town vs Gateshead @ 4/5
Gateshead lead the way in the National League so far, with six points and seven goals. It feels as though the team have a huge point to prove after they were denied a place in the play-offs last year as a result of a disagreement about their stadium.
That frustration looks to be fuelling them for the new campaign and they have been looking very good on the pitch. They travel to Halifax Town who have won one and lost one so far. They have only mustered two goals thus far but that doesn’t concern me because Gateshead have more than enough firepower to see over 2.5 goals land on their own.
