No Bake Monster Energy Balls Recipe – Simple To Make & So Good To Eat!
These no bake monster energy balls are not only tasty enough that even picky eaters will like them, but they are really simple to make too. They take very little time to whip together, use just a few ingredients, and are perfect as a grab and go snack. That is why I really love to make them during the school year for my kids to grab on their way out the door, or to have waiting for them as a simple after school snack.
I always tell my kids that they are no bake monster cookie energy balls and they love them. These are a great way to give your kids a treat while getting some good things in them too. You are using mini m&ms and mini chocolate chips so that helps control the amount of sweetness. Since you are adding the sweetness with honey and the chips, you can opt to use a natural peanut butter too.
You can easily tweak this recipe to, to make a healthy monster energy balls, or I love to make them as is and give to my kids as a treat that is a little better for them than just Monster cookies.
Ingredients Needed for No Bake Monster Energy Balls
The ingredient list for these is simple. You likely already have most of these ingredients in your pantry.
- 2 c old fashioned oats (you can also use quick cook oats if you prefer)
- 3⁄4 c creamy peanut butter (opt for a natural peanut butter to keep this step healthier)
- 1⁄2 c mini M&M’s
- 1⁄4 c mini chocolate chips
- 3 tbsp honey (I like to use a raw unfilter, local honey for maximum benefits here)
Optional Ingredients –
You can also use your favorite protien powder if you want to add some extra protien to these.
I also like to sprinkle a little himalayan salt onto mine. My kids prefer it without the salt, so I will do this at the end for a few and that way there are salted ones and non salted ones in each batch for everyone to enjoy.
How To Make This Monster Energy Balls Recipe
Start by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper and setting aside.
In a large bowl combine all of the ingredients together and mix well. You can combine them all at once like I have shown above, or if you are adding extra protien powder then I like to start by mixing that into the peanut butter and honey, and then folding in the other ingredients after that is blended.
Once your ingredients are all mixed up, you can get your lined cookie sheet ready to go.
This is where you can also add extra ingredients if you wanted to (like raisins or seeds for example).
Use a cookie scoop, scoop dough out and roll together into a tight ball. Place on a baking sheet and repeat until the mixture is gone.
You could also just use a teaspoon and roll with your hands during this step inf you prefer.
Chill in the refrigerator and enjoy after they have chilled.
You can add the finished Monster Energy Balls to an airtight container to store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
You can also freeze these if you want to make an extra large batch and then take them out to thaw as you want to enjoy them. If you do choose to freeze them, you will want to do a flash freeze while they are still on the cookie sheet, and then store them after they have frozen (this keeps them from sticking together). I like to thaw mine for around 15 minutes, but you could also enjoy them as a frozen treat.
