Our latest review on the Nixer x longfills range focuses on the Nixer x Yeti collaboration. We will be looking at all the flavours available!
The Nixer x range features collaborations with some of the UK’s premier e-liquid brands. Featuring instantly recognisable names such as Wick Liquor and Unreal. We will be reviewing all of these so stay tuned over the coming weeks!
As well as looking at the original range of Nixer longfills, we’ve also taken a look at the Nixer x Wick Liquor and Nixer x Mix Labs ranges recently. Which feature both brands most popular e-liquids available as longfills.
The Nixer range of longfills and mixing kits is produced by UK based Dispergo Vaping. They were founded in 2019 off the back of the runaway success of the Jack Rabbit Desserts range.
All of Dispergo Vaping’s e-liquids are manufactured to the highest standards in Oxfordshire using fully TPD compliant ingredients. They pride themselves on creativity, independence and uniqueness.
Yeti are a household brand name in the UK, with a large range of icy, fruity e-liquids. They have become such a success over the past few years that they have grown into one of the largest e-liquid brands in the UK and also now export their products globally.
What Can We Expect From Nixer x Yeti E-Liquid?
All of the Nixer range come as 60ml longfill bottles, which feature 30ml of nicotine-free flavour concentrate suspended in PG. The remaining 30ml of space is designed for a Nixer mixing kit to be added in order to vape to your desired strength.
By using one of the mixer kits, the ratio can increase to 70/30 VG/PG if using a freebase nicotine kit or 50/50 VG/PG if using a nicotine salt based one.
You can also customise your flavours by ‘icing’ them up with the Ice mixer kit.
The Nixer mixing kits are available in 5mg or 10mg nicotine salt strength. But you have also got the option of an iced version too if you like a chill to your e-liquids.
Freebase nicotine vapers are also catered to with the 3mg and 6mg Nixer mixing kit options.
You have the freedom to add any of these mixing kits to any of the flavours available in the range!
It’s essentially DIY e-liquid made very easy!
Now you will need to add a mixing kit before you can vape one of these, as these bottles contain 30ml of strong nicotine free flavour concentrate which will be pretty nasty to vape if not mixed first.
Thanks to Vape Club, we’ve got all five in for review along with a selection of 10mg nic salt and 10mg nic salt ice mixer kits!
Before I start this review off, I must mention that as with any e-liquid, taste is subjective, and in my review I will write up my own thoughts on my experiences with each e-liquid.
Your experience may differ, as people have differing palates, preferences on taste and different vaping set ups which can offer a totally different flavour experience.
How To Use Nixer x Yeti Longfills
Inside the longfill bottle there is 30ml worth of e-liquid with space for the three bottles contained in the mixing kit. Once mixed this will give you 60ml of e-liquid with the nicotine strength specified on your Nixer mixing kit.
If you have experience with shortfills before, this will be an absolute breeze!
- Open the longfill bottle
- Add the bottles from your Nixer mixing kit.
- Give the bottle a shake for a minute and hey presto – you’ve got 60ml of e-liquid ready to vape to your desired nicotine strength!
This is as easy as mixing e-liquid gets!
Passionfruit Lychee Ice
They say
Passionfruit Lychee Ice by Nixer x Yeti is a summery vape flavour comprising of sweet passion fruit and floral lychee!
We say
I like a full on icy kick so I was reaching for the Nixer Iced mixing kit straight away!
This did exactly what I expected it to. It turns up the icy chill to an absolute blizzard, which is exactly what I look for in a chilled e-liquid. This provides a strong chill comparable to the Yeti Summit series that I recently reviewed!
So, onto the fruity flavour notes and at the start I get a wonderful passionfruit flavour that is positively bursting with juicy flavouring. Plus an authentic tasting lychee that compliments the passionfruit well, making for an exotic tasting flavour profile.
Now, the lychee also brings floral notes, which usually I don’t mind, but the floral note was just a little too strong and off-putting for me here and it was almost perfume like. If it was a touch more subtle this could be an absolutely great e-liquid!
Sour Raspberry Watermelon Ice
They say
Sour Raspberry Watermelon Ice by Nixer x Yeti is a fruity flavour with tangy sour raspberry and juicy red watermelon!
We say
Yep, I’m going for the Iced mixing kit again, if anything to nullify the watermelon flavouring slightly as it is one of my least favourite flavours!
I reviewed this flavour recently as part of the Yeti Summit series and found that it almost hit the mark (yes, even with watermelon flavouring present) but artificial watermelon notes let it down. And unfortunately, it’s pretty much the same experience here too.
There’s a strong sour raspberry note, with the sourness almost tongue tingling. Along with a juicy watermelon that has a bit of an artificial, almost chemical like taste to it.
The chill does sweep in and cut through quite a bit of the artificial taste thankfully, making me glad I opted for the Iced Nixer mixing kit!
Using an Iced mixing kit does cut the artificial watermelon flavour note down slightly but not quite enough for me, I could still taste it!
Sour Grape Ice
They say
Sour Grape Ice by Nixer x Yeti is a fruity flavour with juicy grape followed by a blast of ice!
We say
This is a new Yeti flavour for me as I have not actually tried this one out yet!
I came away pretty damn impressed with this one. I do enjoy a good grape e-liquid and this one I found to be most enjoyable. And of course, I had to ramp up the chill with an Iced Nixer mixing kit!
This gives it the taste and mouthfeel almost like a grape soda, but with a nice tangy sourness to it and a very cold chill sweeping through.
I find grape flavouring to be a bit off-putting if it tastes too artificial, but that wasn’t the case here.
This is quite a well rounded grape flavour with sweet, juicy and sour notes making for a pretty delectable e-liquid!
Pineapple Ice
They say
Pineapple Ice by Nixer x Yeti is a summery vape flavour with tangy pineapple followed by an ice cold hit!
We say
Yep, you might have guessed it, I’m going for an Iced kit again here, I like a very cold pineapple ice e-liquid!
I’ve got to take my hat off here, there’s some superb mixing on display. The pineapple flavouring is absolutely bang on the money and brings the sweet and sour notes along with the sharpness you come to expect from pineapple fruit.
They’ve done a great job of replicating the taste of pineapple fruit here.
And the chill is just absolutely spot on for me. The Iced kit really elevates this up to another level, providing an icy blast that is just perfection for me.
Though I’m sure using a normal kit and having a bit more of a subtle chill will still do the job too!
Strawberry Lemon Ice
They say
Strawberry Lemon Ice by Nixer x Yeti is a summery vape flavour comprising of juicy strawberry and tangy lemon!
We say
So, I’ve used four of my Nixer Ice mixer kits on the previous flavours, I figured it was time to use one of the ‘normal’ Nixer mixing kits just to see how much of a difference there is.
There’s still a decent chill present here. After all Yeti are well known for providing some very chilly e-liquids as standard, but I definitely noticed the difference when using a normal mixing kit.
It isn’t as sharp and biting, which is good if you don’t like e-liquids that chill you to the bone!
In terms of the fruit flavour elements to this e-liquid, these are pretty much spot on, with a very zingy lemon combining really well with a candied strawberry flavour. I’ve got no real complaints about these two flavourings, they definitely do the job!
Final Review Verdict
Yeti are quite well known for providing some of the strongest ‘Iced’ flavours on the market, as our recent review of the Summit series shows. Using a Nixer Ice mixer kit allows you to take that chill a step further if you like a strong, chilly kick to your e-liquids!
Apart from one in the range, I pretty much used the Nixer Ice kits with all of these, as I do like a strong iced kick.
And I have to say that I was definitely satisfied with the results when I did so! But if you don’t like a face-chilling twist to your e-liquids then you still have the option of using the standard Nixer mixing kits.
Flavours are absolutely spot on, I’ve vaped plenty of Yeti flavours in the past and once you’ve mixed one of these longfills up they taste exactly as you would expect them to.
Value for money wise, once you’ve purchased a bottle along with a mixer kit and mixed it up you are looking at 60ml of e-liquid for less than £13, which is great value for money.
Using these definitely saves money on buying six bottles of 10ml e-liquid that is for sure!
We will be looking at even more from the Nixer x range on Ecigclick shortly so stay tuned for further reviews!
