In today’s review we are checking out the Nixer x Ice Breaker range of e-liquid longfills and mixer kits!
The Nixer range of long-fills and mixing kits is produced by UK based Dispergo Vaping. They were founded in 2019 off the back of the runaway success of the Jack Rabbit Desserts range.
All of Dispergo Vaping’s e-liquids are manufactured to the highest standards in Oxfordshire using fully TPD compliant ingredients. They pride themselves on creativity, independence and uniqueness.
What Can We Expect From The Nixer x Ice Breaker E-Liquids?
This is a collaboration between Nixer and Ice Breaker, as part of the ‘Nixer x’ range.
Nixer have collaborated with some of the biggest e-liquid brands in the industry to produce this range. Tying up with big names such as Wick Liquor, Seriously, Yeti and Unreal. And we are reviewing them all here on Ecigclick!
Ice Breaker are a UK-based e-liquid brand, who produce a popular range of six ice-infused fruity flavours, designed for use in refillable pod kits. And all six of them are available as part of the Nixer x Ice Breaker range!
Nixer produce longfill e-liquids which have been designed to simplify the home e-liquid mixing experience and appeal to both mouth-to-lung vapers and sub-ohm vapers alike.
Nixer’s longfill bottles come in 60ml bottles with 30ml of nicotine-free flavour concentrate suspended in PG. The remaining 30ml of space is designed for a Nixer mixing kit to be added in order to vape to your desired nicotine strength.
Nixer mixing kits are available in 5mg or 10mg nicotine salt strength, but you have also got the option of an iced version too if you like a chill to your e-liquids.
Freebase nicotine vapers are also catered to with the 3mg and 6mg Nixer mixing kit options.
You have the freedom to add any of these mixing kits to any of the flavours available in the range!
By using one of the mixer kits, the ratio can increase to 70/30 VG/PG if using a freebase nicotine kit or 50/50 VG/PG if using a nicotine salt based one.
It is essential to use a Nixer mixing kit before vaping one of these longfills. Without one you would be vaping strong concentrate, which will be highly unpleasant!
Before I start this review, I must mention that as with any e-liquid, taste is subjective. In my review I will write up my own thoughts on my experiences with each e-liquid.
Your experience may differ, as people have differing palates, preferences on taste and different vaping set ups which can offer a totally different flavour experience.
A big thanks goes to Vape Club for sending the Nixer x Ice Breaker longfill e-liquids in for review!
How To Use Nixer X Ice Breaker Longfills
Inside the longfill bottle there is 30ml worth of e-liquid with space for the three bottles contained in the mixing kit. Once mixed this will give you 60ml of e-liquid with the nicotine strength specified on your Nixer mixing kit.
If you have experience with shortfills before, this will be an absolute breeze!
- Remove longfill bottle top
- Add all 10ml Nixer bottles
- Shake for a minute
- Hey presto – you’ve got 60ml of e-liquid ready to vape to your desired nicotine strength!
These Nixer longfills and mixer kits are very easy to use. It takes mere minutes to make 60ml of ready to vape e-liquid!
Blackcurrant Mango Ice
They say
Smash your tastebuds with smooth blackcurrant with a chilly, exotic mango twist.
We say
After already covering five of the ‘Nixer x’ range, I’m starting to run low on the Nixer Ice mixing kits… But the flavour combination here sounds really appealing to me so I went ahead and popped one in Blackcurrant Mango Ice.
Blackcurrant and mango are two favourites of mine when it comes to fruity flavours. The smell coming from this was delightful once I had mixed it up. Got my juices going for sure!
Going by the smell, I could tell that this was going to be a strong flavoured e-liquid and it most definitely is. There’s a heap of blackcurrant flavour right at the start, like a blackcurrant squash, before this gives way to a delicious authentic mango flavouring.
Yes, the chill had been turned up a notch thanks to the Nixer Ice mixing kit, giving me a meaty and strong chilly blast that sent shivers down my spine. Exactly how I like it!
Really exceptional stuff. It’s not often that I can’t put down a really strong flavoured fruity e-liquid but I seriously enjoyed this. Definitely one I would be happy to order again!
Sour Cherry Ice
They say
Crack open this bottle of ice cold, ruby red cherries with a tangy sour finish.
We say
For this one, I used a standard Nixer mixing kit… I have got to ration these out especially with one last Nixer x review to come!
Even without ramping up the chill factor with a Nixer Ice kit, the chill here is actually pretty strong enough if I’m honest. It did the trick for me and I like a strong chill in my fruity e-liquids!
The cherry flavouring was pretty damn strong. It’s like a Glace Cherry with a sour edge to it on the aftertaste and the flavouring has been ramped up here.
Perhaps a little too much though as I did detect a bit of a nasty artificial edge to it, but the cooling notes did take that down quite a bit.
Pineapple Ice
They say
Straight from the tropics, this exotic pineapple served over ice is sure to refresh.
We say
Again, I’m going for one of the regular Nixer kits with this one!
Every fruity range seems to boast a pineapple ice flavour and I couldn’t even list the amount of them that I have tried – it has been that many!
So, with this one from Ice Breaker, I get a candied Pineapple Cube Sweet styled flavour, that is almost a little bit syrupy to me. And I don’t mind that at all, in fact I quite enjoy it.
A strong, icy breeze is present here which is pretty robust and nipped at the back of my throat.
I felt this was very much a disposable styled pineapple ice flavour thanks to the high level of flavouring and the candied notes.
Bubblegum Ice
They say
The flavour with a pop! Classic sweetshop bubblegum flavour with a cool menthol.
We say
I’m not the biggest fan of bubblegum and I stuck to a regular Nixer mixing kit for this.
I was quite surprised with the flavouring here. Other bubblegum flavours I have tried were pretty full on when it came to flavouring. But this one seemed to have a very muted bubblegum flavouring but quite a fair amount of sweetener.
The chill was pretty strong, as expected and it left me wondering whether the level of menthol was drowning out the bubblegum flavouring slightly. I am no DIY mixing expert though!
I did even leave it to steep for a week and came back to it to see if it brought out more of the flavouring but nope, it was just the same as when I first tried it.
Personally I wasn’t feeling this bubblegum flavour, it didn’t pop for me at all.
Lemon Lime Ice
They say
Tangy and zesty with a sensational Ice, crammed with juicy lemons and fresh limes.
We say
Well, as I really enjoy a lemon lime flavour, I figured I would go with one of my last remaining Nixer Ice kits!
There’s plenty of lemon lime combos around. I know I’ve personally tried a ton of them and this one doesn’t really do much to differentiate between the rest. But that is not saying that it is a bad e-liquid.
Quite the opposite, it offers a very zingy lemon flavouring and a nice sharp lime, both of which do the job. It reminded me of a lemon and lime Ice Lolly, especially with the icy notes.
The extra menthol kick really helps to solidify that lemon and lime ice lolly vibe, with a really crisp and chilly feel!
Blueberry Raspberry Ice
They say
A refreshing mashup of juicy blueberries and tangy pink raspberries served on ice.
We say
With this one, I used a regular Nixer mixing kit. I’ve found this range to be pretty chilly as standard anyway!
What surprised me here was just how dominant the raspberry flavouring is and it is very candy-like too in my opinion.
It did seem to drown out a bit of the blueberry flavouring, which seemed to be relegated to a bit of a background note for me.
As per the other flavours I have tried out, the icy notes were robust and strong, bringing in a decent chilly breeze.
A bit more blueberry flavouring would have elevated the flavour here for me, as I did feel that the raspberry note was very dominant.
Final Review Verdict
There’s nothing too out of the ordinary in terms of the blends here, but these are popular fruity flavour combinations done very well!
A particular highlight from this range for me was the Blackcurrant Mango Ice e-liquid. I really did enjoy this one and it is something I would happily order again.
One of the plus points about these flavours being available as part of the Nixer x range is that you have the option to use freebase nicotine if you prefer. This is thanks to the Nixer mixing kits, as the original range is only available with nicotine salt.
And I know not everyone out there is a fan of nic salt!
It’s also good to have the option to increase the icy chill here thanks to the Nixer Ice mixing kit. So if you are like me and prefer a strong menthol kick then you do have that option available.
All in all, there’s some solid flavours to be enjoyed here and these are very reasonably priced too. If the sound of these flavours tickles your fancy then it is definitely worth giving them a go!
Many thanks to Vape Club for sending the Nixer x Ice Breaker range in. These can be purchased from their website for £9.99 per bottle, with the mixer kits available for £2.99!
They are also offering a range of multibuy deals on these too. With two available for £15 or two bottles and two Nixer Mixer Kits for £20… Go grab yourself a bargain!
