NBA Betting Tips: Warriors feature in Wednesday’s picks
The NBA regular season action resumes after the In-Season Tournament break, with 11 games taking place. We’ve picked out the best bets for the upcoming matches.
NBA Betting Tips
- Heat @ Raptors – Raptors (-2.5) @ 5/6
- Jazz @ Mavericks – Mavericks (-8.5) @ 10/11
- Trail Blazers @ Warriors – Warriors (-11.5) @ 4/5
Treble pays 5.3/1
Heat @ Raptors – Raptors (-2.5) @ 5/6
The Miami Heat are in a rough patch right now – they’ve won just one of their last five games.
Their troubles are mainly due to injuries, with second-leading scorer Tyler Herro absent with an ankle injury, and big man Bam Adebayo has been banged up and missed the last game.
The Raptors come into this game losers of three of their last four games, including a 119-106 loss to the Knicks on Friday night, but I think they have an excellent opportunity to get back in the win column here.
Miami have too many injury woes to compete, so I’m taking Toronto.
Jazz @ Mavericks – Mavericks (-8.5) @ 10/11
Dallas started the season reasonably well but they’re in a bit of a funk right now. They’ve lost two in a row and are just 3-3 over their last six games.
The Mavericks have a 5-4 record at home so far this term, but I think the one-two punch of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving will be too much for Utah here.
The Jazz snapped their two-game losing streak with a win over the Trailblazers in their last game, but they’ve struggled defensively, giving up 118.5 points per game.
Simply put, the Jazz don’t have the firepower to compete with Doncic and Irving if they get hot, so I’m taking Dallas here.
Trail Blazers @ Warriors – Warriors (-11.5) @ 4/5
The Warriors have won five-straight home games against Portland, and the wins have come by an average of 12.8 points.
The last time the clubs met, the Warriors put up 55 points in the first quarter of a 157-101 shellacking in Portland last April. The Trail Blazers were without Damian Lillard, Anfernee Simons and Jerami Grant at the time.
All three could be missing again in the rematch eight months later. Lillard has since moved onto pastures new with his move to Milwaukee, Simons suffered ligament damage in his right thumb in the preseason and has yet to play this year, and Grant has entered concussion protocol after getting hit in the head Saturday in a game against the Utah Jazz.
Although their recent results don’t reflect it, the Warriors have played some brilliant basketball in their recent matches, despite narrow defeats to the Sacramento Kings and the Los Angeles Clippers.
History suggests that the Warriors will win comfortably, so I’m taking Golden State here.
