NBA Betting Tips: Clippers to add to Warriors’ woes

There’s more NBA action heading our way on Thursday night and into the early hours of Friday morning, with nine matches taking place. We’ve picked out our best bets for the upcoming games.

NBA Betting Tips

  • Hawks @ Spurs – Hawks (-7.5) @ 10/11
  • Pacers @ Heat – Pacers @ 21/20
  • Clippers @ Warriors – Clippers @ 7/4

Treble pays 9.52/1

Hawks @ Spurs – Hawks (-7.5) @ 10/11

The Hawks are looking to bounce back from defeat here, and extend the Spurs’ woeful run.

Atlanta have dropped two straight, and five of their past seven games, while San Antonio have lost their last 12.

The Spurs started the season well enough, and there’s still plenty of hype surrounding the no.1 pick Victor Wembanyama, but they’re 24th in the entire NBA in scoring and they’re giving up an average of 123.4 points per game, which ranks 28th in the league.

The Hawks have blown hot and cold so far this term, but they have plenty of options when it comes to scoring, and with the Spurs being 1-8 at home, I’m taking Atlanta to cover here.

Pacers @ Heat – Pacers @ 21/20

The Indiana Pacers are looking to make it back-to-back wins on the road when they visit the Miami Heat on Thursday night.

The Pacers are coming off a 114-110 loss to Portland, while Miami suffered a 131-124 loss to Milwaukee, meaning that they’ve now lost their last three.

However, the Heat have won three of their last four home games but the potential absence of their star player Jimmy Butler could hinder them significantly. In addition to Butler, the Heat have other injury concerns – second-leading scorer Tyler Herro has missed 10 straight games due to an ankle problem.

Indiana have lost two of their last three games, but despite their slump, they are playing well offensively, scoring more than 120 points per game in their last three outings. Therefore, I think they’ll have too much for an injury-riddled Heat side here.

Clippers @ Warriors – Clippers @ 7/4

Both teams are looking to bounce back from defeats when they meet at Chase Center in the early hours of Friday morning.

The Warriors lost by one point against Sacramento which confirmed their elimination from the In-Season Tournament, despite having a 24-point lead at one stage, and Steve Kerr’s side have lost eight of their last 10 outings.

The Dubs do tend to perform better at home – they’ve won eight of their last 10 home games against teams with losing records, but Gary Payton II will miss the foreseeable future with a calf injury, as will veteran guard Chris Paul due to a lower leg problem – two key reserve players for Golden State.

The Clippers’ offense has stagnated since the arrival of James Harden, but they look the better defensive outfit of the two sides here. I always think the Warriors have a ‘puncher’s chance’ with Steph Curry in the lineup, but the likes of Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins haven’t stepped up to the plate so far this term, which is costing them.
