Brighton, Catterick, Bangor and Lingfield are the racing venues for Monday, August 21st.
24 races in total, and the last two tracks stage late afternoon/early evening meetings.
Monday’s NAP Selection
5.45 Lingfield – Girl Magic @ 11/4
5.45 Lingfield – Girl Magic @ 11/4
The selection runs in a Class 4 handicap over 5f, is ridden by the excellent Kevin Stott, and trained by Alice Haynes.
It’s an ordinary little contest but GIRL MAGIC (Nap) has won at this track over 6f so is familiar with leafy Lingfield. That win was just over a month ago, and the second that day has since run a blinder in defeat in a £17k contest at Windsor.
She’s a pretty experienced 3-yr-old and is admirably consistent. A daughter of prolific sire Havana Grey, she’s only 2lb higher that when winning last time and gets Kevin Stott up top, a lucky charm for owners Amo Racing this term especially via the exploits of King Of Steel.
Alice Haynes trains several for the owners and if handling the drop down to 5 (she’s won and run well in defeat at the trip before) Girl Magic must have a terrific chance.
