There’s no rest in MLS as after a busy Wednesday night in the league, 28 of the league’s 29 teams will be in play on Saturday for MLS Week 21. The MLS odds predict big wins for the likes of New England, Philadelphia and LAFC. While FC Cincinnati looks to keep rolling as they enter the week on a ten-match undefeated streak. See the odds for each match plus our top MLS picks here.
On Wednesday, we mentioned that several teams that almost never win on the road were all away durng Matchday 20 and could struggle to reverse those trends. Several of those teams are again on the road this weekend, as well as the addition of a few others.
Montreal (1-1-8), Toronto (0-4-5), Atlanta (1-5-3), Miami (1-0-7), Houston (1-2-6), Chicago (2-2-5), the LA Galaxy (1-3-6), Vancouver (0-3-4) and NYCFC (0-5-5) are all heavy road underdogs based of their poor road records.
With 12 games and 24 teams in action on Wednesday, a few will be coming into the weekend with a litte extra rest than their opponents. Those teams include Miami, Columbus, New England, DC and Minnesota. FC Dallas gets a bye this weekend. Colorado and Vancouver were scheduled to play on Wednesday but had their match eventually postponed due to inclement weather.

If your a corner kicks bettor, the match between LAFC and Vancouver could produce several corner kicks as the teams rank second and fourth respectively in the most corners this season.
Our midweek MLS picks on Wednesday went 2-1. We got all the goals we needed in St. Louis vs RSL and an easy Cincinnati win over Toronto. But Dallas came up short in contributing to the scoresheet against Austin.
Columbus Crew vs Nashville SC Prediction
In what looks like one of the games of the matchday, Eastern Conference playoff teams in Columbus (6th) and Nashville (2nd) meet at 7:30 pm EST.
The Crew were not in action on Wednesday but are undefeated in four games. They drew in New York against NYCFC 1-1 last weekend and won their previous three games 2-1, 4-2 and 3-2. Their last defeat actually came against their Saturday opponents Nashville, losing on the road 3-1. Including a 3-2 loss in the game prior to that, both teams have now scored in six straight Crew games. An SGP bet in your soccer picks for over 2.5 goals as well, would be 5-1 in those six games.
With 36 goals scored on the year, only Atlanta with 37 have scored more than Columbus. In fact, the Crew have scored in all but one game this season, a 1-0 road road loss in Charlotte. They have the second-most attacking third touches in the league and the third-most shots on target.
At home, Columbus has scored in 15 of their past 16 games, in 11 straight and have just one loss in their past 15.
Nashville are also one the of the league’s higher scoring teams with 28 goals, led by Golden Boot leader Hany Mukhtar with 13 goals. Mukhtar and the Yotes were held off the scoresheet though on Wednesday losing 1-0 in Montreal. That snapped a streak which had seen Nashville score in 14 games across all competitions previously.
A bet on both teams scoring in Nashville games had also been 8-0 prior to Wednesday. Let’s bet on that MLS prop cashing again in MLS Week 21.

DC United vs FC Cincinnati Prediction
Cincinnati extended their undefeated streak to 14 games across all competitions and to ten games in league play alone after Wednesday’s 3-0 home win over Toronto. The home win also sets a new all-time record for the most consecutive home wins across all competitions to start a season at 13, as well as tying the 2002 record for the most consecutive home wins in MLS to start a season at ten. No team has collected more points (43) through 18 games in MLS history than Cincinnati.
Luciano Acosta scored and assisted on Wednesday for FCC, extending his goalscoring streak to four games and giving him goals in seven of his past eight games.
Only Nashville with 14 goals conceded has allowed fewer than Cincinnati’s 16 this season. But, they’ll be the more tired team with DC being off on Wednesday. Cincinnati will also again be missing the likes of Brandon Vazquez and Matt Miazga to the Gold Cup.
DC hasn’t been winning much lately with only two wins in ten across all comps. But they have been scoring with goals in each of their past six games. They have the most attacking penalty area touches in the league and the fifth-most attacking third touches as well. Their past six scorelines have read 2-1 (L), 3-1 (L), 2-1 (W), 2-2 (D), 2-1 (L) and 3-0 (W).
You simply can’t bet against Cincinnati right now in your soccer picks today, but I can see DC getting on the scoresheet as well at home.
- MLS Picks: Both teams to score (-150); risk 1 unit Bet365
Sporting Kansas City vs Chicago Fire Prediction
Chicago are among the teams that struggle on the road. The Fire are 2-2-5 on the road this season, are 1-2-4 in their past seven away and have just five wins in their past 24 when on the road.
But recently, it hasn’t mattered whether they’re home or away, the Fire have been languishing at 1-3-3 in their past seven. However, that one win is a road win and it came in their last game on Wednesday against Portland. A 2-1 road win and their first-ever win over the Timbers in 11 all-time meetings. That win, came from a Kei Kamara winner, leaving him one goal shy of tying Landon Donovan for second in the MLS all-time scoring charts.
The Fire are 11-7 to Over 2.5 totals and their games average 2.9 goals per match. They haven’t won much lately, but including the USOC they have scored in three straight and in 9/11.
Sporting Kansas City games have also seen plenty of goals this season. They’re 12-8 to the Over and their games average 2.6 goals per match. On Wednesday they took a 1-0 lead in LA over the Galaxy with an early Alan Pulido PK, fell behind 2-1 and then drew level at 2-2 with a late Pulido PK goal again in the 92′ minute.
Now healthy, Sporting are finally getting their bang for their buck from Pullido who’s scored in four straight games, scoring six goals in those four. He’s definitely live in the MLS props as an anytime score (+125).
In SKC’s last nine games, both teams have scored in seven. SKC has scored in 8/9, while also conceding in 8/9. At least three goals have been scored in seven of those nine games. And a bet on both teams to score and over 2.5 goals has cashed in three straight and in 5/6. Sporting have the most attacking third touches in the league, the second-most shots on target, the most corner kicks and should create plenty of chances in this game, but I think Chicago will get theirs too.
- MLS Picks: Both teams to score & over 2.5 (+100), risk 1 unit at Bet365

MLS Parlay Picks
Here’s one two-game parlay for your Saturday Week 21 MLS predictions inclduing two of the bigger favorites in the MLS odds.
Philadelphia Union vs Inter Miami Prediction
Until Lionel Messi and friends cross the pond to join the Herons, Miami will be in trouble. They’re rooted at the foot of the Eastern Conference standings with 15 points and sit 27th overall, only bettering the 14 points of the LA Galaxy and the 13 points of the Colorado Rapids in the West.
Philadelphia was in action on Wednesday coming back to draw 2-2 in Orlando. They also lost 2-1 in San Jose last weekend, both coming on the road.
For Miami, they’ve now dropped six in a row while being outscored 12-4. On the road they’re 1-0-7 (4GF/12GA) and have only four road wins in their past 23 away games.
Philly doesn’t lose at home at Subaru Park often. They’re 6-2-1 at home this season with 17 goals scored and just five conceded. That one loss came to Orlando back in March. Otherwise, their last home defeat was in the 2021 MLS Cup Final against NYCFC. They were unfefeated at home last season and are 20-6-1 at home since that final.
Miami pulled a shocker over Philadelphia back in March at home. But they’ve come unravalled since and the Union should return the favor on Wednesday. Bet on a Philadelphia win in your soccer picks for this one.
New England Revolution vs Toronto FC Prediction
Toronto lost at home to New England 2-0 earlier this season. But in New England, they’re actually undefeated in their past four games. But that’s a rare location where they find some road success.
TFC is winless on the road this season and just got smacked 3-0 on Wednesday in Cincinnati. No team has collected fewer road points (23) than Toronto since the start of the 2021 season. They have only four wins in their past 43 road games.
They’ll also be without both of their first choice keepers once again, plus Jonathon Osorio and Richie Laryea who are away at the Gold Cup.
Toronto still has star players up front who can score but it’s just not working for TFC this season. They’re 14th in the East, compared to New England who are third. The Revs are also undefeated at home at 6-3-0, tying their best record at home to start a season. They’ve scored 21 goals and only conceded eight, while scoring three goals in each of their past three games at Gillette Stadium. New England has conceded a goal though in each of their past five home games including three to Chicago.
New England should win this one. You could bet them as a single play. But in this MLS parlay we’ll simply ask for the game to have over 1.5 goals.
- MLS Parlay Picks: Philadelphia to win / New England vs Toronto over 1.5 goals (-143); 1 unit at Bet365
