MCG Tour Melbourne

Filled with history, fascinating facts, and behind-the-scenes excitement, our guided MCG tour was something our family won’t ever forget.

In the players’ dressing rooms, we could imagine the pre-game excitement and post-game celebrations. This part of the tour lets you see where sports stars prepare and unwind.

A visit to the media centre gives a behind-the-scenes look at where commentators and journalists bring the game to life for millions of viewers. Kids will love pretending to be sports announcers as they see the view from the media boxes.

One of the most thrilling parts of the MCG tour is the chance to walk along the boundary line. It’s exciting for both kids and adults to step onto the edge of the field where cricket legends have played!

The grass is perfectly manicured with several groundstaff busy at work, and the sheer size of the stadium from this vantage point is awe-inspiring.

Another unforgettable highlight is stepping inside the prestigious MCC Long Room. This exclusive area is usually reserved for members, but on the MCG tour, you get a rare glimpse into this hallowed space. The Long Room exudes tradition and elegance, with its dark wood panelling, historical portraits, and a sense of history that permeates the air.

The MCG Tours are led by dedicated MCC Members who volunteer their time to showcase this iconic stadium. Their extensive knowledge, passion, and talent for engaging visitors of all ages ensure that everyone leaves with a deeper appreciation for the MCG and its pivotal role in Australian sport.

While there is no strict age limit for the Melbourne Cricket Ground tour, children under five may require close supervision due to the duration and amount of walking involved. The tour is particularly engaging for school-aged children and older.
