Monday’s defensively sound 17 – 13 win over Green Bay was ‘a good start’ according to Raiders DE Maxx Crosby.
The Las Vegas Raiders entered the game ranked 23rd in points allowed. They had surrendered eight touchdowns through the air and 134.3 rushing yards on average per game.
Maxx Crosby took it upon himself to remedy this against Green Bay, and says the Raiders defensive unit is improving.
Raiders head coach Josh McDaniel credited the ‘tremendous leadership’ of Maxx Crosby for the win.

Crosby finished the game with five tackles, four pressures, three run stuffs and a sack. McDaniel says his consistency allows him to produce such performances.
“Consistency,” McDaniel said.
“Maxx does it every day with his effort, his work. How much he cares about every little detail relative to the football team, his teammates, his body, practice. He gives it everything he has every single time he’s out there, and never comes off the field, as you know. Tremendous leadership.”
“I take it personal,” Crosby said. “Everything I do. I always got to go above and beyond to prove my worth. Every single day I come out here, I’m trying to prove a point.
“This is what I do all year round. I love it. It’s everything in me. This is what I was born to do. It was great getting a win for the fans, back here in the stadium, man, there’s literally nothing better.”

“As a defense, like I said, we take it personal,” Crosby said. “Everyone has talked about our defense being the weak link. So, I take it personal, the guys take it personal, we keep getting better and better every single day. I think we’re putting that together. We’ve got a lot of room to improve, but I think we’re off to a good start.”
