Magic Wands are typically known for two things: being about the size of a hairdryer and having more power than just about any other sex toy. But the Magic Wand Micro isn’t like other wands; it’s a cool wand. It’s much smaller than any of its kind that I’ve ever seen, but it claims to bring the power. If you’re curious whether it lives up to the hype or if it comes up short, you’re in the right place. Could the Micro generate an orgasm that’s big enough to blow your mind in a package that’s small enough to fit in your pocket? Check out my Magic Wand Micro review to find out.
Once I got over how adorable this little thing was, I tested it to see whether the vibrator lived up to its foremothers. I found that it was a small step back in power compared to other wands, though it was extremely powerful compared to other bullet vibes in my vast collection. It’s rumblier but in a much gentler way, which I happened to love. The highest speed kind of winds into a buzz, and I found the lower two settings to be the rumbliest of them all. But for the size of something that I can hide within my fingers, the vibrations were as powerful as I could imagine and certainly enough for my sensitive clit and most anyone’s pleasure.
Overall, this thing is an itsy-bitsy exciter, and I am deeply in love. The Micro is possibly the best stocking stuffer or gift for any other occasion I can think of. It’s perfect for anyone who loves wands but needs something quieter for on-the-go fun, excellent for a cute gift, and ideal for partnered use.
Who Is This For? If you love rumbly vibrators, this should be on your wish list. Or, if the deep rumble from a wand is what you need to get off during partnered sex, this is the perfect toy for you as it’s smaller and easier to use. Further, if you travel all the time and want something quieter and more discreet than the larger versions, you should grab one of these immediately.
Who Is This Not For? This might not be the perfect purchase for someone with shorter arms who is used to the length of the full-sized wand. If hunching over would put a kink in your masturbation session, skip this. However, if you’re used to using a bullet vibe, the small size won’t pose any challenge to you.
You Can Buy It on the Lovehoney website for $69.99. Use code MSTG15 for 15% off!
What Is the Magic Wand Micro?
Magic Wand Micro is a wand vibrator from the same brand that brought you such classics as the Hitachi Magic Wand, but it’s much smaller—probably about the size of your keys on a keychain. Though they also have a vibrator called the Mini, the Micro is smaller than that one by half. With speeds of up to 6,500 rpm, it puts other vibes to shame. It’s simple to use since its only function is external vibration, and it’s perfect for your clit, nipples, or sore muscles in a pinch.
For those who are curious, magic wand comes in different types and sizes. If you want to check out the full options you have, here are all the other types of wand vibrators.
First Impressions and Features
Unboxing
The Magic Wand brand doesn’t exactly bring glitz and glamour, but for a toy under $100 coming from a beloved, time-tested brand, the packaging is not the point. The box is sturdy and well-made but not exceptionally giftable if the person you’re purchasing this for needs the unboxing to be a luxury experience. However, it comes with a USB charging cable and an instruction manual, which you can see below.
Normally, I would suggest they add a sample packet of lube and a storage bag, but again, for under $100, you don’t hear me complaining.
Features
The Magic Wand Micro has pared-down features, including:
- Rechargeable battery
- Soft, body-safe silicone head
- Three-speed motor
- Four different vibration patterns
- A one-year warranty
Specifications
Magic Wand Micro specifications at a glance:
- Material: ABS plastic body; head made of silicone
- Size: 4.5” long, 1.3” head diameter
- Color: White and blue, of course—it’s the Magic Wand’s signature color palette
- Mechanism: Clitoral vibration
- Weight: 3 ounces
How To Use Magic Wand Micro?
Using this vibe is fairly simple. Wash the head carefully and charge it after opening it.
There are only two buttons on it, making it easy to learn to use. The top button has an “M” and is the mode button. Underneath that is the power button, which has a circle on it. The on/off button only turns the toy on and off, but the mode button will cycle you through the intensities (of which there are three settings) and rhythms (of which there are four). There are seven total options:
- The first is low, which vibrates at 4,500 rpm
- The second is medium, vibrates at 5,500 rpm
- The third is high, which vibrates at 6,500 rpm—higher than any other Magic Wand!
- The fourth through seventh are vibration patterns
A couple of things to keep in mind: this toy turns off after twenty minutes of use to prevent overheating, so you may need to turn it on a few times if you take a while to reach orgasm.

My Personal Experience With Magic Wand Micro
You know in Twilight when Bella says, “You’re impossibly fast and strong”? I’m not 100% sure she wasn’t talking about the MW Micro since the RPMs are so jaw-dropping. I was shocked to find just how impossibly powerful this little device was, and I may have even named mine Edward in tribute.
The Magic Wand name brings to mind quality and vibration strength—at least, that’s what it brings to my mind. And once I got over how adorable this little thing was, I was able to try it and see for myself whether the vibrator lived up to its foremothers. I was surprised that the speeds were higher on the Micro than on any of the other toys by the same brand. Speed doesn’t always equate to rumble or power, and the higher speeds seemed to have buzzier vibrations than the lower speeds, where the vibrations were rumblier.
No job is too small for the Micro, which is something that the full-size wand vibrators can’t compete with. Using the full-sized versions is not fun if you’re having to decide between space for the larger wands or your partner’s dick. That’s a lose-lose situation, and that’s why the pocket-sized Micro fits in so well for anyone who wants to use the vibrator during partnered play. If you’ve used the Magic Wand Mini, you’ll know this thing is half that size.
One thing I noticed is that, sometimes, I missed the length of the full-sized version. The small one meant I had to reach a little further. But then I realized that this is the perfect style of rumbly vibe for partnered sex. It’s not so huge that it makes use uncomfortable and awkward, and you can use it in many different positions. This little powerhouse has a very flexible neck, making it even easier to squeeze into tighter spots and still be comfortable in a wide range of positions. However, the body’s shortness also means you can feel a bit more of the vibration transfer.
Packaging
The Magic Wand Micro’s packaging is minimal. As you can see in the image below, it comes in a sturdy blue-and-white box that foretells the blue-and-white vibe inside. The user manual is almost larger than the vibrator itself, coming in at 35 pages of mostly common-sense guidelines. It does suggest that you shouldn’t just leave this vibe plugged in all the time—a particularly bad habit of mine—and only charge it when the vibrator blinks red. That way, you’ll keep the battery in the best shape for years to come.
Inside the box is the powerful vibrator, a USB charging cable, an instruction manual, a strap, and not much else. You’ll need to pick up lube and a storage case on your own time. Also not included is the USB charging adapter for the Type-A side of the USB C cord. But this is on par with the under $100 price point.
Design
This little device shares its design with the iconic Wand look. I say iconic because it’s otherwise slightly outdated. This won’t be the prettiest device in your drawer, but who are you going to show it off to, anyway? Plus, when it’s this tiny, it’s bound to be cute, no matter the design. And it is.
Material
The original wand had a porous head, making it less durable and not as safe for your body. However, the Micro has a head made from silicone, which means that you can use it with lube (just not silicone lube), clean it, and expect that it will stay safe for use for years to come. Major upgrade!

Stimulations
The easiest way for the Micro to fall short was to have less power than wand users have come to expect. When I tried out the Micro, I found that it was a small step back in power compared to other wands, though it was extremely powerful compared to bullet vibes.
As a muscle massager, it functioned okay. I still have to laugh when toys that are clearly made for erotic purposes are billed as “a muscle massager” or “for novelty purposes only” because, if I couldn’t laugh about it, it would be a little depressing since outdated laws that criminalize sex toy use still exist. All in all, the Magic Wand Plus is what I would reach for if my partner needed a back massage.
Note: Back massage isn’t the only thing your wand vibrator can do to your man, if you want ideas, here are all the things you can do with your partner.
Sound Level
This thing is so tiny that I wasn’t worried its bark would be worse than its bite. When I tested the sound level, it reached between 36 and 46 decibels.
Build Quality and Dimensions
It’s so small! It’s 4.5” long, so it will fit in your purse or potentially your pocket! This makes it perfect for travel. It would be better if it had a travel lock, but it will still fit in your carry-on. You’ll just want to keep an eye on it so that it doesn’t turn on mid-flight. In the image below, you can see me comparing its size with other wand vibrators in my collection.
If you find the allure in small things and you’re looking for more options, make sure to check out some of the other small vibrators we recommend.
The build quality is excellent, as people have come to expect from the Magic Wand brand.
Ease of Use
The Micro is easy to use. The only thing you have to remember is to keep it charged, which is not often the case for those who may be used to plugging their devices into the wall whenever they’re ready for action.
The Micro has two buttons: a power button and a mode button. There’s nothing else to learn!
Versatility
This tiny vibe only gets a few points for versatility, but that is essentially a given with most toys under the $100 price point. It offers one type of stimulation: vibration, and it can’t be used internally. It’s not waterproof so that limits where you can use it. And since it’s a mini wand, the attachments for the regular-sized version won’t be compatible, meaning you’ll have to use it as is.
However, this vibrator offers strong vibes for clitoral or nipple stimulation and makes a decent back massager as well. It’s perfect for bringing on vacation, and it’s rechargeable, so you don’t have to be leashed to a wall when you masturbate. And it has four vibration patterns, which is enough to give you something to choose from.
Warranty and Support
The Magic Wand Micro comes with a one-year warranty.
Note: Just make sure you buy a legitimate one so you can enjoy the warranty, here are tips to make sure you don’t accidentally grab a fake wand.
Minor Issues I Found During Testing
I had so much fun with the MW Micro that I had to dig deep and nitpick to find anything wrong with this vibrator. Overall, the only things that are kind of a pain are that the MW Micro can’t be used around water, and you won’t be able to use the attachments as you would with the other Magic Wands. Cleaning is a little bit trickier, but nothing you can’t handle.
So if you a huge play-in-the-shower kind of gal, you’re better off looking for an alternative that is waterproof in this list of the best wand vibrators.

Anyone who wants dual stimulation would be better served by a rabbit. One that’s comparable in price is the Desire Luxury or the Greedy Girl Mini.
If you want a versatile toy for long-distance use or something suitable for use underwater, try the We-Vibe Tango X or the We-Vibe Touch X, which are some of the most powerful pint-size vibrators you can find. They are on the buzzier side but have the advantage of pinpoint stimulation, thanks to their design.
Further, this might not be the perfect purchase for someone with shorter arms who is used to the length of the full-sized wand. If hunching over would put a kink in your masturbation session, skip this. However, if you’re used to using a bullet vibe, the small size won’t pose any challenge to you.
Alternative To Magic Wand Micro
Magic Wand Plus
The Magic Wand Plus is the updated version of the Original Magic Wand. It has a silicone head, too, making it body-safe. However, the Plus is a corded toy that must be plugged into the wall for use, limiting where you masturbate. It’s quite large, and you can’t recharge it. The Plus will give you a more powerful experience, and it will be louder, so the two provide very different experiences.
You can read this comprehensive Magic Wand Plus review to learn more about how strong this alternative is.
Magic Wand Rechargeable
The Magic Wand Rechargeable is essentially the big sister of the Micro. They both last for around three hours, don’t require a cord for use, and are not resistant to water. The price point and size are the main differences. If you like a larger, heavier, louder, and notably more powerful toy, the choice is easy: get the Rechargeable. If you prefer a smaller, quieter, and less powerful toy, the Micro will serve you well.
You can buy a Rechargeable for around $120 when it’s on sale. Feel free to use the discount code we have on our Magic Wand Rechargeable review.
Dame Com
The Dame Com is a modern version of the Magic Wand’s idea. It is covered head to toe in silicone, which means it is great for use in the tub or shower, soft, and attractive. It is easy to clean and still packs a punch. The Dame Com is prettier but also weaker than most wand vibrators; however, it is stronger than the Micro.
A Dame Com can be yours for $124.99. Just make sure to read this full Dame Com review first so you know everything about it.
Lovense Domi 2
The Lovense Domi 2 is potentially one of the most luxurious vibes you can buy, which makes it a totally different purchase from the Micro. The Domi 2 is gorgeous black and silver with an ergonomic shape, is water resistant, and has a great app for you to play with. The neck is flexible, and it is easily the best choice if you’re in a long-distance relationship.
You can learn more about this wand vibrator’s app functionality in this Lovense Domi 2 review.
Grab your Lovense Domi 2 for $119.
Le Wand Rechargeable
Le Wand Rechargeable is the priciest entry on this list, costing nearly $180. It is luxury in a box, and it has a modern, powerful vibe. This rechargeable vibrator comes with a cover and a travel case, but the vibration strength doesn’t quite live up to a full-sized Magic Wand, though it beats the smaller versions. It’s convenient, rechargeable, has a travel lock, and offers many more patterns than the Micro, but it’s not as discreet. If a giftable experience is your priority, this will give you that in spades.
For those who are interested in getting this as a substitute, you can learn more about Le Wand’s features in our full Le Wand Rechargeable review.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
What Is the Best Lube for Magic Wand Micro?
Since the Micro has a silicone head, you shouldn’t use silicone lube with it. The best type of lube is water-based lube, which will protect its head’s surface and not leave it porous and full of bacteria. The lube you choose helps you keep your body-safe toys safe for your body!
Is Micro Waterproof?
No, sadly, the Micro isn’t waterproof. Don’t plan to bring this toy into the shower or tub, and take extra care when you wash it.
How Do I Charge the Micro Wand?
The website says that the Micro can last up to three full hours on a full charge and take another three to charge. When I tested it, it lasted three hours on the dot. And then it took just under three hours to charge.
There is an indicator and charging light underneath the two buttons. When the power is on, it lights up green. It is red while charging (as I demonstrate below), and it flashes red when it has a low battery, which is a helpful visible indicator. When the charging is complete, it will light up green again.
Though the box says it has a USB-C charging cable, that’s only true for one end of the cord. The cord that attaches to it is a USB-C charging style, but the other end, which you plug into a power source, is a USB-A type. It’s the same cable that would be used to charge certain phones.
Here’s a more thorough process you can follow if you want to charge your wand vibrator.
How Do I Clean Magic Wand Micro?
Cleaning the Magic Wand Micro isn’t as easy as other toys because it’s not made to be used in the water. The part you’ll be cleaning the most is the head, which is made of silicone. Using a toy-safe cleaner or wipe will be the easiest and safest way to keep your vibe clean without damaging it.
How Do I Store Magic Wand Micro?
The Micro doesn’t come with a storage bag, so you’ll want to pick up something to keep it clean and protected from the elements. Just about any size of makeup bag should do the trick, but it’s always a good idea to pick up something washable; bonus points if it has a hole for charging. If you search for “sex toy storage,” you’ll come up with a range of options, from the inexpensive to the extremely pricey.
Is the Packaging Discreet?
Yes, the makers of the Magic Wand Micro aren’t the new kids on the block, so they know how to keep your private purchases private. Your vibe will come in a plain white or brown box, and the brand won’t be listed on the outside. It’s nobody’s business but yours!
