Lucky 15 Tips: Brilliant Jessie always makes a huge impact
With the majority of Donny’s gems well covered in the companion ITV piece, let’s turn our attention to a magnificent card over at Leopardstown in Ireland for our Lucky 15 tips. Couldn’t find anything to go with our winner Sweet William yesterday, but we were bang there hitting the post all afternoon.
Saturday, September 14 – and while the world’s oldest Classic is being decided in South Yorkshire we’re off for Group action where several of our biggest names have ventured for the afternoon. Ryan Moore, James Doyle, Billy Loughnane, Tom Marquand – all are chasing big pots in some huge races.
Lucky 15 Tips, Saturday
Leopardstown
13:10 – Bubbling @ 15/8
Path of least resistance – a progressive Aidan O’Brien, No Nay Never juvenile filly.
Two runs – green here for her maiden (4th), but got her act together nicely at Galway 46 days ago and won with authority. Well entered up, lovely race, Ryan Moore rides.
13:40 – Green Impact @ 2/1
The famous Kinross colours, and a classy juvenile colt this time in the care of the legendary Mrs Jessie Harrington.
Beat Delacroix who opposes again here in a maiden, and can do so again today though that rival has come out and subsequently won too.
Shane Foley rides.
14:15 – Diego Velazquez @ 7/4
Another for Ryan and Aidan, and a Frankel colt who exploded a little unexpectedly last time.
The three-year-old was a revelation 58 days ago here in a Group 3 and the 9f trip seemed spot on. Drops 220 yards today but that shouldn’t be an issue.
I hope the upward curve can be maintained in this fascinating Group 2.
14:50 – Fallen Angel @ 3/1
A red-hot Group 1 for fillies now, and Tom Marquand is reunited with Donnacha’s Caravaggio filly Porta Fortuna.
I’m hoping however that Karl Burke’s Fallen Angel can continue her upward trajectory after taking the Irish 1000 Guineas then sitting out some pretty fancy dances until now.
She’s in the QEII at Ascot in October and here’s hoping Karl has got her in fine fettle for a telling autumn campaign. The Doyler’s on board for Wathnan Racing.
If you’re playing take care, have fun as always, and good luck.
This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
The odds can fluctuate between publishing our pieces and race-time. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today’s selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £144 for your total £7.50 stake.
Fred, ‘The Bonus King,’ invented the ‘Lucky’ series of bets and their bonuses. My colleague Adam has set out all you need to know with this handy guide – take a look by clicking here.
