Liverpool to win by 2+
Everton have an abysmal record in Merseyside derbies, which is why I’m starting this bet builder off with Liverpool to win by 2+ goals.
Liverpool have lost just one of the last 25 Merseyside derbies in the Premier League, and the Reds have played five home matches this season and won them all by at least two goals.
Everton shouldn’t feel too bad about their poor form at Anfield, as almost all visiting sides can say the same in the Klopp era – Liverpool have lost just one home league match with fans present since April 2017.
Sean Dyche will be hoping the victory over Bournemouth prior to the international break will provide a boost in confidence ahead of a tough trip across Stanley Park, but ultimately, it’s difficult to see anything other than a comfortable Liverpool win.
Mohamed Salah to score first
It’s no surprise to see Mohamed Salah is Liverpool’s top scorer so far this season with the Egyptian finding the back of the net six times whilst also registering four assists. Salah has been one of the most consistent and effective players in the league since his arrival from Roma.
In his previous nine encounters with Everton, the 31-year-old has managed to net five goals, including three in his last four appearances which makes him a huge danger here.
He also opened the scoring in this fixture in February where the Reds won 2-0, so I’m backing him to do the same here.
Jack Harrison to score anytime
Harrison announced himself at Goodison Park with a stunning lob in the win over Bournemouth before the international break and he could find some joy here.
With Andy Robertson absent due to a dislocated shoulder he suffered on international duty, the former Leeds United man could cause Liverpool some problems down that right-hand side.
Liverpool have kept just two clean sheets all season, so it wouldn’t surprise me if the Toffees managed to get on the scoresheet this weekend.

Cards and the Merseyside derby go hand-in-hand, with its 22 reds being the most of any fixture in Premier League history. Although, the last dismissal came back in 2016.
The last eight league meetings between the sides have seen an average of 4.6 yellow cards and only fewer than four twice so there should be a few cautions dished out here.
