17.30 – Leicester Racecourse Ideal Self-Hire Wedding Venue Nursery – 7f
SALSA DANCER has displayed promise in each of his four starts without success and kept on well from the rear of the field to take fifth at Kempton last time. The return to this longer trip should suit on that evidence and he is drawn well in stall 3 as well. He should be thereabouts.
Tips: SALSA DANCER
18.02 – British EBF Restricted Novice Stakes – 7f
HIGH POINT ran a race full of promise when third on debut at Epsom, where he kept on really well to just be touched off in a three-way thriller to proceedings. The form has been boosted by the second since who has subsequently returned a next-time-out winner. With improvement anticipated, he can build on that promise and take this race.
Tips: HIGH POINT
18.32 – Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies’ Nursery – 6f
TIERNEY will be much more at home back on a better surface given she was found out on soft ground in a much stronger race at Newmarket when last seen. She had previously beaten a decent field at Haydock, including Mayo Neighs, who I think is a decent yardstick, and could get back on track with a good apprentice taking off three pounds.
Tips: TIERNEY
19.02 – Leicester Racecourse Ideal Conference Venue Handicap – 1m
A tentative chance is taken on TUSCAN who’s mark is on the slide and he is now on a new career-low mark of 76. He was rated as high as 103 last year having run well at a higher level and even though he has not been anywhere near that form this year, he is dangerous to rule out. Mark Winn can also take off a further three pounds, so if he is going to bounce, it will surely happen in this race.
Tips: TUSCAN
19.32 – Walker & Son 1280 Fillies’ Handicap – 1m3f
The much-improved MILDYJAMA could be set to gain a third win from her last four starts. She returned a comfortable winner at Kempton when last seen and although she penalised, Ralph Beckett’s filly should have a bit more to come from this mark. The favourite will be hard to beat but she should be able to give her a race with no concerns in regards to the ground.
Tips: MILDYJAMA
20.02 – Kube – Leicester’s Premier Events Venue Handicap – 1m2f
STAR ALERT scored for the second time this season when winning comfortably at Doncaster just four days ago and can compete off the same mark turned out quickly here. Given he bolted up in that race by 14 lengths, it is hard to see him not coming out on top if he can stage a repeat in this race. He is the one to beat.
Tips: STAR ALERT
