League of Legends 14.17 Patch Notes Breakdown

Welcome to our patch notes breakdown for League of Legends Season 14!

Let’s break down all the new changes in LoL coming this week.

We recommend following along with the official 14.17 patch notes since we won’t be listing all the specific stat changes, but rather, focusing on the impact of the changes and the champions updated place in the current meta.

Buffs, Nerfs, and Changes

Aurora (nerf)

• R damage is decreased.

Ashe (nerf)

• Her base stats are nerfed.
• This will impact her in both the Support and ADC roles.

Caitlyn (buff)

• Her base attack speed is increased.
• W cooldown is nerfed.
• She is stronger on this patch!

Ezreal (nerf)

• His base stats are nerfed.

Graves (buff)

• His Q cooldown is decreased in the later ranks, and the damage is increased.
• We should expect him to be stronger in the Mid and Jungle roles.

Katarina (nerf)

• Her Q damage is decreased.

Kennen (nerf)

• Kennen’s Q damage is nerfed.

Kindred (buff)

• Her Q attack speed is increased.
• Likewise, her E damage is also increased, and the cooldown is reduced.
• Some good changes for her this patch.

Leblanc (nerf)

• Her Q and W damage are reduced.
• She will be weaker in the Mid and Support roles.

Lissandra (buff)

• Her Q damage is increased, and the slow on her Ultimate is better at rank 1 and 2. These buffs will help her throughout the early to mid game.

Pyke (nerf)

• His base stats are nerfed.

Rumble (nerf)

• His Passive damage is decreased.
• He will be weaker in the Top, Mid and Jungle roles.

Ryze (buff)

• Will we see Ryze at Worlds this year? Maybe as his Q damage is increased, and his Ultimate cooldown is reduced too.
• He might not be S in Solo Queue, but expect him to be played at Worlds.

Senna (nerf)

• Q heal is decreased.
• R shield AP ratio is also decreased.
• These nerfs will negatively impact her in the ADC and Support roles.

Seraphine (nerf)

• Her W shield and cooldown is reduced at the later ranks.
• It will negatively impact her in the ADC, Mid and Support roles.

Sylas (nerf)

• W damage is decreased.
• He will be weaker in the Mid and Jungle role.

Twisted Fate (buff)

• Another buff for Worlds 2024.
• Twisted Fate’s Q damage is increased.

Varus (buff)

• Q damage is increased as well as his E damage.
• He will be stronger in the ADC and solo lanes.

Item Changes

Warmogs Heart

• The cost is increased, and it gives less bonus movement speed.

Celestial Opposition

• The slow is decreased.

Runes

Absorb Life

• The formula is adjusted. It is weaker overall.

Cut Down

• The threshold is now 60% instead of 50%.

Fleet Footwork

• The movement speed is decreased, and the heal is weaker too.
