Lausanne-Sport welcome St. Gallen to Stade de la Tuilière on Sunday (13:15) with both sides having had similar starts to the Swiss Super League season. They have both won a match and lost one so far and they are two places apart with the hosts in seventh and the visitors in fifth.

Read on for my Lausanne-Sport vs St. Gallen prediction, featuring match odds and team news.

Team News

The hosts remain without the services of forward Trae Coyle, who has been sidelined with an ACL injury since January.

Lausanne’s front three of Teddy Okou, Fousseni Diabaté and Mamadou Kaly Sene found the back of the net in their season opener, but they had no joy last time out in their 4-0 defeat to Sion. They are unlikely to be separated as they look to utilise their magic again on home soil once again.

For St. Gallen, Gregory Karlen and Betim Fazjili are sidelined with long-term knee injuries. Forwards Willem Geubbels and Chadrac Akolo were both on the scoresheet in last week’s 4-0 triumph over Young Boys, with the latter having now netted in both league matches so far. They will both be feeling confident heading into this one.

St. Gallen to win @ 7/5

After a huge victory over the reigning champions last weekend, followed by wrapping up their Europa Conference League second qualifying round tie in the week, St. Gallen will be riding a wave of confidence as they head to Lausanne.

I fancy them to start forming a winning streak here. Goals are not in short supply for them at the moment, with four scored last weekend, as well as five in Europe. The hosts on the other hand, will be feeling quite low, as they themselves were on the wrong end of a 4-0 scoreline last week at the hands of Sion.

St. Gallen will see this as an opportunity to hit them while they are down, and with the momentum they have been building over the last week, I think they can collect their second league win of the campaign.

St. Gallen to win at 7/5 Both teams to score – Yes @ 4/9

However, I do see both teams getting on the scoresheet on Sunday. Lausanne-Sport have failed to register a clean sheet so far this term, and they have also only managed to keep a clean sheet in just three of their last 18 meetings with St. Gallen, which is another factor why I fancy the visitors to win.

I do fancy the hosts to score, though, because they have already shown they are capable with their three-goal showing against Basel in the season opener. All of their front three scored that day, which was also on home soil, so I think they can have a huge impact at Stade de la Tuilière once again.
