Last Quarter of 2023 Packed with Poker Tourneys Around Globe

As 2023 enters it’s fourth quarter, poker players around the world have plenty of options to hit one of the many poker series that are coming to a casino near them.

More tourneys than time

There are more than 100 poker series scheduled around the globe still set to take place in the final quarter of 2023. The buy-ins range from the nose-bleeds at the PGT at the Aria in Las Vegas, to the three-figures in cities like Cleveland, Los Angeles, and Tampa — just in the United States.

Here are some of the rest of the year’s highlights:

WSOP Circuit

WSOP Circuit has seven more events in 2023 starting with the series at Thunder Valley Casino on Sept. 28.

Poker’s biggest brand wraps-up the first half of its season in North Carolina at Harrah’s Cherokee (Nov. 23 to Dec. 4), with five stops between. They are Horseshoe Hammond in Chicago (Oct. 5-16), Harrah’s Pompano Beach (Oct. 12-23), Choctaw Durant (Oct. 25 to Nov. 6), Harvey’s Lake Tahoe (Nov. 2-13), and back to Illinois to the Grand Victoria Casino (Nov. 9-20).

And that’s just in the United States.

Internationally, there are two series left in 2023. The events at King’s Resort in Czech Republic started Sept. 20, and runs until Oct. 8. After, the WSOP Circuit hits Casino Sanremo in Italy from Nov. 25 to Dec. 3.

All tournament winners get a ring an entry into the $1 million Tournament of Champions freeroll that kicks-off the WSOP in Las Vegas in May.

Mid-Stakes Poker Tour

In between are stops at the Silverado Casino in Deadwood (Oct. 20-22), Ameristar East Chicago (Oct. 24-29), Iowa’s Riverside Casino (Nov. 2-5), and two series at The Venetian in Las Vegas (Nov. 25-29).
World Poker Tour
After the AUD $8,000 WPT Australia concludes on Wednesday, the WPT continues to trot around the globe. On Sept. 28, WPT Prime Madrid starts, followed by WPT Vietnam (Oct. 12-16), WPT bestbet Scramble in Jacksonville, Fla. (Nov. 10-14), and WPT Seminole Hard Rock Open (Nov. 24).
Then it’s off to the Wynn Las Vegas for its slate of championship events. The Ladies Championship starts Dec. 7, the Prime Championship Dec. 8, and the WPT World Championship, with its jaw-dropped $40 million guarantee, Dec. 12.

Regional casinos get into game

Casinos around the United State are running their own series tailored for their regulars. Some have been going on quite a long time, like the Bay 101 Open in Northern California (Oct. 9-23), while others are hoping their series become tradition.
From Oct. 5-15, head to New Orleans for the Poker Gras at Harrah’s. With a dozen events raging from $160 to the $1,100 main on Oct. 12, it’s a good excuse to head to this beautifully unique city.

The Fall Poker Open at Bally’s Black Hawk in Colorado runs from Oct. 11-22, and packs in 27 events in those 11 days. The first of four starting days of its $1,200 headliner starts Oct. 19.

From Oct. 30 to Nov. 19, head to Rounders Poker Club in San Antonio for the 15-event South Texas Poker Championship. Most buy-ins fall in the $240 to $400 range, with two meaty ones: A $1,400 $1 million guaranteed event on Nov. 15 (five starting flights), and a $2,000 event on Nov. 13.

Good luck!
