Las Vegas Raiders President Sandra Douglass Morgan is determined that by the time Super Bowl LVIII touches down in her host franchise’s city in February, Vegas will have set the scene for “the biggest show on Earth.”

NFL representatives and the Super Bowl LVIII host committee, of which Morgan is vice-chair, gathered in Las Vegas Wednesday to announce the calendar of activities lined up for 58th battle for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Caesars Palace Las Vegas Hotel and Casino got the nod as the league’s Super Bowl base, while MGM Resorts-operated Mandalay Bay Convention Center landed the rights to host the Super Bowl Experience. Scheduled to run February 7-10, according to a Raiders news release, the Experience gives football fans the opportunity to interact with current NFL players and former greats, while also participating in “new and enhanced interactive games and youth football clinics.”

minimum $500m”

Naturally, Las Vegas businesses are eyeing a bumper turnout over Super Bowl week, which starts February 5 and ends with the Super Bowl game at Allegiant Stadium on the 11th. Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) president and CEO Steve Hill believes the occasion could make a record amount of money for Vegas. The Las Vegas Review Journal cited Hill as stating: “Minimum $500m, but projections are really probably between $600m to $700m.”
